First, I wanted to say that I really love and enjoy what you guys have done, I really do. I started playing after the 3rd patch for the base game, after I finally figured out how to install it, lol. However, my one and only complaint is this: It's too big, there's too much...empty, and it takes way too long to get around, due to cars costing so much. I'm wondering if parts like Countryside couldn't have just been left out. Just my personal thoughts, it in no way diminishes what your team created, here. It's a new STALKER, and it's truly fun as hell to play. I'm currently trying to figure out how to get to the Lost factory and DeeDee, I can't seem to find a way there that doesn't either get me killed as soon as the map starts, or takes what feels like an eternity to get through.

I am the only one getting this from Xray Engine?

Dude, I'm really not trying to be stupid for the hell of it, I'm a gamer, I build comps, I know next to nothing about software of any kind, or all the various folders that come with games. However, that said, the game does launch now, I needed to know what other files were in the location so I knew I was in the right place, and you gave me that. NOW my problem is Xray, just like with the original game. ><

Thank you for the info MorbidSniper. I had to ask him to be SPECIFIC about where that file goes, because I can't find it anywhere in my LA files. But again, thank you! #manhug

Please tell me which SPECIFIC folder this goes in, because I can't figure it out. I've looked at everything, and nothing looks like what's in that file. I'm begging you, big time. I desperately want to play LA. :(

It's funny, I've played CoP Complete all the way through 5 times, and I've never had any crashes at all, so I wonder why so many others are having CTD issues?

Ok, now I have a problem I'm seeing repeatedly in this thread: Upon launch, I get this error message:

"Cannot open file "fsgame.ltx". Check your working folder."

What's causing this? As someone else said, I can launch without the patch, but with the patch installed, this happens. I know someone said it happened to them for a specific reason, but that isn't what's going on here with me, and I'm pretty sure with most.

Oh! I somehow forgot to tell you that on the extraction of at least parts 2 &3, I got errors. Do I need to use ONLY Winrar to extract? Because I use 7Zip for file extractions.

See, that's just it, I CAN play. Does this mean that all 4 parts installed? If it does, I still have the patch not running problem.

I think that's what's happening to me too! I'm dead tired, so I wasn't able to think clearly enough to actually save what it told me, but I'm pretty sure that's it!

Really? They built this, let anyone download and play it, for FREE. EVERY game out there has patches of some kind, so by your definition, no game at all is complete until every single patch that could ever be is done. You've got to be kidding me. Also, if you want people to actually listen to you and hear you, screaming, cursing, and calling those people insulting names really isn't going to help you there. Calm down, it's just a game. Oh, and this is the "full release," you've spent way too much time on the internets my friend, go outside and breathe.

I have a problem: The patch won't run. First, I had to force my IS to let me actually run it, but then it won't do it. It says I don't have permissions/somethings missing. Also, on that note, and this may be WHY this is happening: How do I get parts 2-4 to install? Part 1 installed fine, and the game runs, though there are some..odd problems, like Fox repairing only my jacket, but then upon exit from the repair, my jackets not repaired, but my money is still gone. Anyway, like I said, how do I get parts 2-4 to install? Help, please, I love STALKER, and this, even with what I've seen just at the beginning, is an amazing build of the game, and I really want to play it. :(
