For those interested, check out this site: Me-dem.me.uk and forums: Worlds.outercraft.com. They are looking for 3D modelers to create buildings for their middle-earth map (a very impressing map).

@ndustrialpolygons:
The MERP team canĀ“t do a satire of the books because WB are making those already, just look at all the LOTR games published by WB...
Theonering.net has posted about MERP!
But... it's... OH MY GOD!! *faints*
Will it be possible to have a standard "paper" map in MERP instead of the satellite view? It would be nice for role-playing..
Wow, looks interesting :)
Thank you Alasdairhurs, it's nice to have a rough ETA :)
I've tried to create an MERP elf and it worked, no baldness here :) I didn't try all of the hairstyles though so maybe the problem lies in some hairstyles not properly modded yet.. Try other hairstyles and see if it works.
Hi pascaliedema, you can find a thread about mods and tweaks in MERP's forum under Help and F.A.Q. Good luck :)
PS. By "the forums" you mean Merp.straygenius.com? My username is Tegalad
Thank you Alasdairhurst :)
I DO, I DO!! It is here, isn't it.. MY PRECIOUS!
I've got a nice price when I bought it and the idea was to use it as a ram drive. After some time I bought a ssd drive and the ram is now sitting there. :)
I think that the installer (and launcher) will be out with beta 0.2.6. The MERP team are surely doing their best to publish the beta before Skyrim arrives.
I can understand you. I'm not a die-hard fan of the elderscrolls series, but i pre-ordered Skyrim the same day I saw the information from MERP team :)
It's so beautiful... absolutely fantastic!
Ok, I don't get your sarcasm but maybe I need to explain my question. I want to max out MERP as much as I can but without any tweaks the game is laggy when I play it on high settings due to memory restrictions etc. I know there are some multicore tweaks, memory tweaks, etc so my question is simply how can I OPTIMIZE oblivion to fully make use of my computer? I googled it but most sites are from 2006, 2007 and don't include new hardware. Maybe someone here can share his ini settings/tweaks? Thank You.
Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding Oblivion optimization. I know that there are many guides about it, but they often are made for people with poor systems specs. I want to explore MERP in all its beauty and take advantage of my computer. I know there are some tweaks and guides for multicore users, but I think I'll be better off asking you guys (maybe someone from the MERP team) how to run the game smoothly with best quality.
My specs are:
Win 7 (64 bit)
Intel Core i7 960 @3.71Ghz
12 GB Ram
AMD HD6990
OCZ SSD drive
ASUS Xonar DX soundcard
My apologies for my bad english and thank you in advance.
