What took a really long time was the AI, which still has its issues, but I think it's fairly useable now for the one or other skirmish match.

Funny you mention this, because the raider idea has been in the air for quite a while, however didn't make it in the game due to "conflicts" with the second faction plans ;)
And mutants, well, are very Fallout-typical, and I've also thought about it, but for the moment it doesn't seem they will be added.

The Predator is no M1 anymore, it's based on it in design and background story, but there are certain differences and improvements. I also decided to give units fictional names so that they aren't connotated with their respective army anymore (in this case the US military).
Concerning your other question: It will probably stay in that style. Upcoming units are going to be more fictional, but still based on relastic, modern design, no sci-fi stuff.
Will still take some weeks, since I have barely time for this at the moment and when I have I work on the AI, so there's nothing really new to show.
I wouldn't call MEC and CWC similar. Check out the first news for the gameplay idea.
Well, you are probably refering to chevrons, which are kind of reversed v's. Symbols like < and v painted on vehicles however are used for example by the US army to prevent blue on blue fire. That was the idea behind it, so yeah, all they mean is the housecolor.

Thanks, but actually they have nothing to do with promotion. I was looking for a nice way to get rid of the housecolor parts on the models, so the symbol appears everytime a unit gets in vision range of an enemy.

Gameplay wise the Peacekeepers are most like a US/UN faction, yes, but keep in mind that they don't represent any nation.
Other factions won't be revealed yet, but you can definitely expect something relying more on guerilla tactics.
No, this is a total conversion, there is no GDI, Nod or Scrin. I know having only one faction lacks in variety but I guess it's still better than waiting even longer for a first release.

There are ideas and concepts for other factions, but I won't reveal them here yet, simply because the Peacekeepers will be the only faction in the first release.
Concerning the story at the moment it's basically the idea that there happened an apocalytpic cataclysm which led to the described situation. I have some more about this in mind, but didn't have the feeling that it's necessary to get the atmosphere that should be created. However if people want it, I will add it of course.
And well, "soon" is very variable ;) Notice that the first release will be like a beta with one faction and the new gameplay system. The next news update will contain more about this.
This is excellent, the atmosphere it creates goes far beyond of what I would expect of a TS conversion, respect!
I really love the rusty look of this model! :) By the way I would recommend to fill the environment a bit more, especially in the other picture it looks quite empty. Other than that, great work!

Sure it is. That's why C&C3 was chosen as base game for the mod (beside other reasons).
Not as drastically as A New Experience. Interfaces like HUD or menus will be changed, but only in a cosmetic manner.
