Red Alert 2: Flipped Missions

Mod review

The missions are irritating.

You can't capture enemy buildings and have fun with enemy tech like with the original missions (or even use them for base expansion), the St. Louise Arch in mission 8 is ungarrisonable...

All in all, great work, but brought down by infuriating trivial things the original missions had but are no longer functional in this mod.
This is appalling.

Tiberium Crisis

Mod review

This mod deserves a lot more praise for making a dream come true: the 3D games in good-old isometric 2.5D.
It can't compete with Mental Omega, though. MO's already beaten.

My only complaints so far:
-Ares 1.0, which finally allows us to save our games, has been out for a while now. But apparently, TC's Ares is a custom-made 0.C. Doesn't explain why the saving and loading hasn't been enabled, if we're already dealing with a custom build. And saving is important in missions, as they're pretty much as sensitive as MO's are.
So no saving = no missions
-Easy AI is called easy AI for a reason, regardless of Newbie Practice Mode or not. Change that to 'Not-so.easy AI' and this point becomes invalid.
-I'm much more interested in not what you ended up making, as that is impressive on its own, but HOW, as in INI codes, MAP codes, anything. The direction of big mods locking up their codes should be frowned upon.

Mod review

The AI is down-right insane in this. The best thing that's happpend to YR and, more importantly, game balances to make playing as and against all factions more enjoyable.
Even better, it's reusable as a base for new mods!

Grand Theft Auto 2

Game review

Simple, elegant, classic.
The best thing about this game is that you can cause simple mayhem and still get paid for it. Grab a car, ram others while driving peds and elvis-clones over. What more could you ask for?

Mental Omega

Mod review

This mod is just excellent. You guys should be proud of yourselves, you've made a mod better than any EA game!
The only problem I'm having is that all codes and maps are inaccessible, making it impossible for newbies such as myself to analyse them. Thus, new modders can't learn and become better. Worst thing a pro modder can do to newbies: Keep all knowledge to himself.

Rise of the Reds

Mod review

I couldn't play this mod for several years now as I no longer posess a PC with the ability to run Generals (thanks a lot Dell!). However when I did this mod was just the best of the best. The music and total destruction say it all. I've lost track of what improvements and developments were made during the years, but it's enough for me to hear a mod now has its own campaign and story to know the mod is only starting to get better.
