After careful consideration we have decided not to develop the Return of the King due to the extensive workload required - The Two Towers took 18 months to develop and some of us have been working on Age of the Ring project for over 6 years, we would now like to move on. We are very satisfied with the Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers campaigns and are glad that so many people have been able to enjoy them.

Age of the Ring requires rotwk 2.02 which already has the no cd fix. By installing it your problem will be solved.

Inns will be dismissed by Auxiliary Camp (unless the inn is in a town or city area) which represented by ruins that are 'garrisoned' by local reinforcements or mercenary forces (inn units). If you had discord I would recommend joining the aotr server where you can see much more work in progress (for instance sreenshot about the new Auxiliary Camp).

I don't think it will ever happen (Rivendell don't need more units and it's nice that you can only get them in the campaign) but you can always modd it yourself because this kind of modding is relative easy.

Lower your graphics, especially shadows

Rohan, Rivendell, Dol Guldur and Woodland Realm can use custom heroes. In the skirmish menu, open the custom heroes menu and type the first letter of your hero's name. You can then recruit them when you start the game.
