Quick note: It is due to pirates that games (notably blizz games, SC2 and D3) have to have a constant internet connection now, meaning, for the most part, no lan. Thanks for that guys....
Even with this news I will still be buying Diablo 3, I am sure as a standalone game it will still be loads of fun, just like D2 and D1. That aside, I don't understand what the big deal about the item market is... It has always been there, if someone wanted to buy items with $$$, they always could and with ease. It was going to exist no matter what, so what is the big deal if Blizzard wants to cash in on the money that is already flowing?
