Not to be rude, but who designed the Aksumite faction's portrayal in this mod? It looks as though whoever designed the aesthetic took stereotypically "African" aesthetics -- exotic animal skins, near-nudity, war-paint, clubs and cudgels -- and decided that it was acceptably representative of Aksumite/Habesha civilization.
Though archaeology in Ethiopia has been hampered by a consistently unstable political situation, and material from the Aksumite period is admittedly limited, I still can't imagine a worse way to depict this civilization than the one chosen for this mod.
It seems like whoever designed this faction did it based entirely on the image on this website: Vocal.media, a website that misattributes what is actually a depiction of medieval Benin (literally on the other side of Africa, 5000km away).
Why one would base this faction entirely on a misattributed picture, rather than on the real world Habesha Ethiopian societies that exist in continuation of Aksumite culture, I cannot understand.
As an actual Ethiopian, I'd rather the faction not be included at all than for it to be done like this. It's like making the Visigoths all Chinese.
If you need help looking for inspiration for the faction's design I'd be happy to offer suggestions!
