Sorry to hear that! Turn-based was one of our original designs but we felt that the game lacked excitement and adventure. The faster real-time pace seems to help.

We are gonna address some of the never ending tutorial stuff and some other things with a patch in the next week or so.
Ship building works in SCIENCE - which is currently a dev tool mess. It will 100% be released to the public but we just need to sit down and make it not crash every 8 minutes or so.
Thanks for feedback! Glad you are enjoying it. Lots of polish needed - but all of our base features are in. Just needs some TLC through the summer.
We are actually planning on putting an untested version out on Monday.
SCIENCE is on it's way. We are working on the newest update to fix a bunch of stuff including nav and this summer we should release the tool to build and modify stuff. That said, the game's LUA files and assets are open and included with the release so if you are interested in modding most of the assets should be available.
Again, given the budget, it's something we would definitely consider.
If we sell 500,000 units we may look at something for online skirmishes. :)
If that makes you want to buy it - yes.
Honestly though, what's planets edge?
The next update should be pretty manly. Lots of explosions, weapons, shields, power management. It's all coming together.....
Delayed til the 27th - object layers were tripping us up (guys couldnt sleep, use, sit). Will be ready for next tuesday though!
We're the same guys. It's basically a sequel to the original.
Not on Steam yet. We will be though. Available through our site www.starcommandgalaxies.com
It's only offline.
Probably closest to a sequel. It uses some assets from the original, some original concepts, but a lot more is new than old. So....ya.....
Thanks - tell your friends!
Glad you like it - tell your friends!!!!
Love the thoughts - we are in alignment. The whole desires system comes from one scene: the death of spock.
Essentially it is the climax of the relationship of the three main characters. Years of traveling around the galaxies, going on adventures, becoming more than friends and then having one of them taken away. We want you to be able to have your own death of spock moment. Characters who go on years of adventures together, survive battles and grow to become best friends. You should genuinely care about your crew, both in the time you have put and the bonuses/rewards you get for having a crew that knows each other so well. And then someone dies and, if we do our job right, you really mourn their loss. That would be the perfect desire/personality/relationship system for us.
Our very first comment! You are a god among men.
