I read everything there is to crack this, but it simply will not start factions. Any tips please?

How do you start with anyone, Starks do not work, screen blackens

I am playing with Eriador. I have eliminated Gundabad, and place a siege of Moria, which is only remaining stronghold of the Orcs of the Misty Mountains. Aragorn was in that army. BUT, Balrogs of Moria were ressurected, and, AS USUAL, with damned reinforcements, SLAUGHTERED my army, killing Aragorn. There were a PACK of 15 - 20 Balrogs!!! Can anyone beat any faction in this game??? Can I create Arnor now that Aragorn is dead?

Believe me when I say, I have bever steamrolled any faction, exept maybe in Total War: Rome, where you always have superior infantry, because I almost always play on very hard.

But this mod is the hardest Ive ever played :)) Which is not a bad thing at all, dont get me wrong :)

I just really hate those guys from Isengard :)

OK, so Im playing with Rohan. I have pressed on Isengard hard, and they hold only Orthanc and a city to the north, forgot its name.

Nevertheless, whenever I try to besiege either of these settlements, number of troops in the them increase double! A whole new army, with new general emerges OUT OF NOWHERE, and they are not some lame peasant spearmen or archers, but ELITE INFANTRY TROOPS like Isengard infantry or Bersekers. WTF?

Ok, I can understand that when you attack a faction capital, some reinforcements must show up. OK, I can live with that.

BUT, when Dark Lord called invasion on Edoras, no Rohan reinforcements appeared!!! That is a total BS! Can anybody explain this to me, please?

Its frustrating, cause it seems I will never defeat Isengard. I even killed Saruman in battle, for heaven sake!

Beleive, I have tried to capture it, but Rhun are fanatical in defence of this castle.

I have the castle since turn 3 but it takes ages to construct military upgrade buildings. AGES!

I did not had time to build stables, since Im always busy making units to defend my cities. I will certainly try to, for Dale has not got starting stables anywhere, but you can hire units like Rhovanion horsemen available as mercenaries in Rhovanost.

I am playing with Dale and Rhun is KILLING me...

It takes two turns for my best infantry, while they are spawning like crazy... There are hosts and hosts of them, unstoppable...

And the bulk of their armies is the light equipped and low costly infantry which is still very strong...

What you suggesting, would not be called Total war anymore.

Van Louis is right. I am playing with Dale and I got a mission to blockade a rebel docks. Since Dale does not have any port cities, I tried to do it by an army led by general. It was successful, although I am not sure if you can do it with a captain. Anyways, a patch for this thing is probably not needed, in my humble opinion :)
