Tried it out, it went a bit better but now it just crashed on the desktop without any frame drops, couldn't tell what exactly caused it.

Would there be a memory leak in this mod by any chance? All of my skirmish matches in space didn't go so well after 10 minutes. The framerate would just drop to less than 5 FPS. After another 5-10 minutes, the game would crash back to the desktop.

I've installed patch 0.95 and the Home One crash to desktop fix.

The only difference really is that UDK is a free program offered by Epic Games for those who want to play with the Unreal Engine 3 without selling the game. UT3 mods probably use the UDK but it's exclusively used for well... UT3.
