Looks really good. Personally I would like to see something like the culture system to help with the loyalty from planets far from my capital.
And spanish armyes at South America used a lot of light and cotton armor. Full plates aren't designed for wet jungle :)

Will the spanish faction have arquebusiers and musketeers?
(Spanish infantry used a lot or arquebuses, started to use muskets on infantry formations at 1567 and used "heavy arquebuses" at the siege of Parma on 1521)

The spanish armyes of that time made a heavy use of arquebusesiers, pikemens, light cavalry and rodeleros. With the Tercio as infantry organization. A Tercio was made of 10 to 12 companies. Each company was conformed by nearly 189 pikemens and 216 arquebusiers and musketeers (Few at first, 81 of the 216, with the years they overtook arquebusiers and the arquebusiers dissapeared).
