The reworked version of 1257 mod is great although I really miss the manor, lance and crusader system of the original mod. This mod seems like a whole european medieval version of Renaissance mod.

But, I can't play this mod any more because of the severe campaign lag. There was little campaign lag in the original 1257 mod.

About the non-shooting archer bug in the siege scene in the original 1257 mod.

I'm posting a reply to the comment here.

In the attacking side (siege), archers never shoot until the player commands them to shoot. In the defence side (siege), archers freely shoot without the player's command.

So. if the computer is on the attacking side (siege), its archers never shoot because the computer can't command them shoot, making archers useless.

This bug is game-breaking in the siege scene although 1257 mod is great in itself.

I am looking forward AD 1257 mod which will be remastered by zedpaolo. I played Sparta mod and enjoyed much!!

But, I am curious about the one thing; will the non-shooting archer bug in the siege scene in the original AD 1257 mod be corrected? This was a very game-breaking bug.

With the custom troop and AOR, I believe the AD 1257 dark age will be another masterpiece.

but I think it will be much better if this mod has body-sliding feature (playing as a soldier) after player is knocked down.

excellent mod. I played an hour. but I encountered some opcode error when entering the battle with my lord. - saying something like infantry form error.
Also, I cannot set my cavalry to wedge formation unless I set them to other formation at first and change to wedge later.

I think the battle in this mod great except the movement of horse archers.
They often stuck in the corner of the map and dont move.

bug report.

I was enlisted in the king Lusinag's army.

Village of Jeriho belonged to Kingdom of Jerusalem before, but Sultan conquered Jerusalem, so village of Jeriho belongs to Sultan now.

but outpost of Jeriho remained belonging to Kingdom of Jerusalem.

Then occationally king Lusinag attacked "Outpost" of Jeriho, which was under Kingdom of Jerusalem.

But there was no option "follow the commander into the battle" to me.

Only I could choose was desert the army.

And I think it is very weired that Outpost of village remains under the control of prior country even if its village is taken over to other country.

1.
I saw a tuncom tribesman in the tavern, but he was on the horse on the chair.

2.
A lord lend me antioch spearman, saying them to be trained.

but antioche spearman's next tier doesn't exist.

so I just turn spearmen back to him. And quest is finished automatically.

small bug report...

when I try to rescue lord in the castle.

I knocked out the prisoner and go to the dungeon and talk to him.

And we are out of the dungeon, and I try to kill remaining enemy.

But I found out the clone of my character inside the castle.

there is no problem rescuing the lord, but something weird happened to me.

And overall...

Besieging scene is great. but there is no advantage to defenders.

Usually Death/wounds is more in defenders than attackers.

My suggestions are to give bonus to defender's reinforcement spawn rate and make Ram/Siege tower movement much slower.

I usually played around the area near Jerusalem, So other castles can be different.

1.02 patch.. there is bug in Damascus besiege.

Our ram broke the gate. But our allies can't charge across the gate because of the obstacle.

thank u for 1.02 patch !!
but lords are still young. some are like 9, 10, 11 years old something like that.
and my character is expressed like "she has no fief" even I am a man.
that's not that big bug though.
thank u for amazing mod

I enjoyed this mod so much, Now I am 18 level, for one day...

but I have some minor bugs found.

1. when Damascus besieging, On the top floor of tower in the first big wall, there is a mismatch between real stair shape and actual moving path....so there are some enemies on the top of the tower, so our troop can't attack.... you will know what I mean if you try besieging Damascus.
And there is some "empty" spaces in the big wall, passing through freely.
and stairs are too narrow, so our troops can't move due to the traffic.

2. when besieging Adratum, there is some neutral guard along the wall, not our troop, nor enemy... you will know what I mean if you try besieging it.
and Adratum besieging scene has more Lags compared to other besieging scene.

3. when talking to captured lord, there is a message asking whom do u think receive the fief. like our lord. dialogue must be corrected.

4. In the character information, My character is introduced like... "she" is the lord of somewhere.... not "He" even If I am a Man.

5. Many lords aged 10, 11 years, some even minus age.... they are babies...

6. Antioch street scene.... There is a small building with two guards. I can pass the gate and wall like empty space.

7. when besieging Jerusalem, on the top of attacking tower, floor is too low, so our archers can't come down from the top floor. you will know what I mean if you try to do so

8. I saw some cavalry with horses when besieging castle.... just one time in Jerusalem

otherwise...nearly perfect...
