Re: danblukk

I installed V4.0 "Hadley's Hope" first, then applied this 4.5 "mini-update", and that was it.

Hope this helps! ^_^

Just an extra thing to note: Overall, I'm very happy with this mini update(thank you! ^_^ ) but on bits where you have to set up a sentry gun - protecting an ammo stash in Hadley's and where you make your last stand in a vehicle bay - the game cannot continue because the xenos don't show up at all, or only a single wave will appear.

Other than that, I'm now enjoying the game once again. Cheers!

Thanks for restoring the 60 limit for the pulse rifle. Much appreciated!

Visually, I found this overhaul(version 4) to be overall cleaner than the standard Steam install, but sadly, the game itself has become broken. Which is a shame because this mod comes highly recommended.

For example, when O'neil and Winter first stumble upon a lurker, it went invisible save for the tip of its tail. Fighting xenos has now become more frustrating as they seem to be literally teleporting to my position and killing me with a single attack. Xenos are pretty much walking through baracade objects in Hadley's Hope.

Also, my upgraded Pulse Rifle now only holds 47 bullets instead of 60, and reloading takes far too long. Not finding the game as much fun without the regenerating 3-bars. I think its this way to make the game more realistic and perhaps more balanced in multiplayer, but for single-player - which one plays more for the story - I now feel its a chore to play rather being fun.

O'neil was always a bit of a tool, ai-wise, but now he seems to be plain useless.

I do apologise(and congratulate) in advance to the creator of this mod, who has obviously put in serious effort to address the visual flaws of the game, but I'm now in the awkward situation of removing the mod to make the game playable once again, but then sadly losing the obvious graphical enhancements.
