if I made the remark it was because it was a vassal but quite independent for example when the Ottoman Empire to go to war regencies of north africa (Algiers, Tunis, Tripoli) was not obliged to the followers of other proof of autonomy vis-à-vis the Empire exists for example:

-from the end of the seventeenth century, it is designated in the treaties as "Kingdom of Algiers"
-In the 18th century and the 19th century, she is almost independent in the management of her affairs and her vassalage is "reduced to external forms"
-Between 1600 and 1800, the regency of Algiers and that of Tunis clash ten times although both are vassals of the Ottoman Empire
-The regency of Algiers repeatedly defies the authority of the empire and maintains direct diplomatic relations with the United States and European powers including France through ambassadors and treaties such as the French peace treaty -Algerian of 1801

moreover Denmark, USA and other countries pay a tribute to Algiers for the protection of their merchant ships in the mediterranean but the decision to integrate this faction obviously comes back to you and sorry if I bothered you

I don't see the regency of Algiers in North Africa The regency of Algiers was a vassal state of the Ottoman Empire in North Africa lasting from 1515 to 1830 while is a state who defeated Denmark for example and had a very feared navy in europe for over 300 years try to educate yourself and add it to the game please and sorry for my English I'm french :)
