Hello person which I may or may not know, you have reached the page of me, it's rather empty so I am honestly completely baffled as to why you are here. Kind of surprising really. However since your here I should tell you about myself, I make maps for Portal 2, yeah, that's about it.

Honestly, I think this is my favorite screenshot. It seems rather complex.

I'm really liking the consistent release of pictures here! :D I like the way the orange funnel blends with the chamber too. Also the shadows coming from the observation room seem perfect, very sharp, nicely done.

Interesting, inspired by Quantum Conundrum maybe? Either way it might make some interesting test chambers.

Wow, that's really cool, luckily for me though I don't reach the 8,000+ brush limit when I make my maps. But if I ever do I know what I'll be able to download to fix that. Thanks! :)

Lol, I can't believe I only just now noticed the Propulsion Gel. :P Anyway I still like that arch door. There's just something about arches that make things look so much better. I must say though I love the detail in this map especially on the lights.

Looks good, the lighting still looks a bit off, but other than that it looks real good. I hope to see quite a bit of one Portal chambers, I love one Portal chambers. :D

Stunning absolutely stunning. If you want the walls to have more variety then try making them as though you were making metal walls. Make it random, some tiny squares mixed in with larger and medium squares with the average rectangle ones thrown in for extra detail.

For example when I make white walls I normally just randomly draw out different bits with different textures and then something like this turns up as a result:
Steamcommunity.com
That's just my process for it.

The lighting in my opinion looks odd, as though it's coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I probably didn't explain that right at all. :P

Good Luck! :)

I like it. I looks so clean yet at the same time broken apart. I like the tube cutting into the chamber. The lighting in this room just makes it look great.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I hate the thing but I do say that mods should be made in Hammer. (For the most part anyway.)

The map looks decent but in my personal opinion those panels in the corner would probably do better as a door instead of panels, that's my personal opinion anyway.

I just noticed this image and I must say I am also getting a strong feeling of Deja-Vu as well, in a good way though. Good Job on this chamber. Also I love it when the walls are partially broken revealing the back yellow tiles. It's one of my favorite bits of detail in the game! :D

I would have done that, but believe me it makes the chamber look kind of strange because the first three platforms are so far away from the wall. If I were to make them operate with panels then they'd be right up against the wall. I would also leave these gaping holes right where the platforms would've been if they were retracted and that just makes the room look too weird. However in other parts of the chamber (the first room to be precise) I've made the platforms connected to panels, but that's only because they were right up against the wall to begin with.

Yeah trust me the lighting you see here is not final, I'm working on making it blend better with the chamber and make it darker because, I agree with you, the lighting is one of the main things I need to work on here.

It looks like it has a lot of interesting levels in it which is good, I like the use of Fizzlers in the chambers. Lol also i remember making a Portal logo like that back when I started posting Portal videos on Youtube.XD I love the BTS areas too, its always fun to test back there.

I don't see how, if the creator of the mod decides "I like the Thermal Discouragement Beams and I want them in my mod." (Not that he/she did say that) Then, why not?

A test chamber is a test chamber and by the look of this picture a pretty damn good one at that. It's all about preference, The preference of the creator, the preference of the community, etc. More people play Portal 2 instead of Portal now. (Yes I prefer Portal 2 but for a great looking map/mod I'd go back to play Portal)

Besides it doesn't mean it "lacks originality" every test chamber is unique in it's own way. They all have different level layouts, ways to solve them and different amounts of detail. (Unless of course you just add something slightly new to a map already created by someone else)

I'm sure that some of the old tests will still be in this mod, so some Portal 1 styled maps may still make an appearance in this mod.

That is all, I am done.
