Still having crashing issues even after the patch. I have the Steam version... Any suggestions?

I'm using the DOOM2.WAD copied directly from the Doom Anniversary Collection DC i got one year for Christmas. Maybe its the WAD?

Hey Guys,

This bug has been haunting me for months! Whenever I go to an open area or a section of the map with an excess of Monsters, My game LAGS. It gets so bad the games becomes unplayable. I do have Open GL enabled but this does not seem to help. I have 2 ASUS Radeon R9 390 crossfired. I'm not sure if my video cards are my issue. Does any one have a Solution for this? I can provide any answers you guys have about my rig or my PB Settings. On a side not. I am using the ZDL Application and Zandronum and a source port. I Just switched over from GZ Doom in an attempt to overcome this lag. Any ideas People?
