You have to wait for the installer to finish. It takes a while, but don't close it when it goes no-responding, just wait.

The mod is not dead, its just been going slow, due to rob (the mod leader) having personal problems. He is coming back, so the realese should be soon. If I had to guess, I'll say christmas.
