If only the genre name 'Immersive Sim' was as ubiquitous as 'FPS'! And if only more games had writers like Sheldon Pacotti!

But rest assured I am telling anyone who will listen about the mod, and hope that it receives the recognition it deserves. Even playing v7 compared to the previous GMDX version is like a fresh game, so I am glad there is a v8 to look forward to at some point after I complete this playthrough!(The difficulty makes the game last so much longer too) If only more games were designed like this; as simulations at heart which truly immerse players in a virtual world, rather than rehashing the same old 'gamey' conventions!

So far through the playthrough (I am currently at Brooklyn Naval Shipyard - health running low, having to watch every bullet/lockpick/biocell...loving it!) I noticed very little in the way of bugs/issues, but perhaps it would be of use to point out the few I found? (Apologies if this is not the preferred forum for this)

- Minor graphical issue where some textures (sides of some vents mainly)appear pixelated green/purple. Only saw this happen once though.

- Got stuck in the vent/ladder facing the troop barracks, near the lab with MiB and after downloading the Dragon Tooth ROM in Versalife

- After blowing up the UC in Versalife, the spiderbots do not always come out of their vents. Sometimes they seem to get stuck inside and not attack the player.

- At the old NSF Warehouse level after sending the NSF signal, I found I had wandered off the map area - as in, I seemed to have walked through a wall and was outside of the intended playable area and was walking about the 'background' area of the map.

- No fight between NSF and UNATCO outside the Ton during first Hell's Kitchen level. Think there was one NSF troop near the park.

-When MJ12 attack the Lucky Money, the seem to appear inside the club immediatly rather than arriving from the mall - ie they do not fight the Military Police patrolling the mall but instead appear directly inside.

I only point these observations out hoping they will be of some use, not as criticism! Having played Deus Ex, I went through System Shock 2, Vampire Bloodlines, Thief, and STALKER - the only games I've found that come close to the Deus Ex experience imho - only to find no other games in existence with the same kind of design philosophy evident in their gameplay. I had given up on finding more, until I discovered GMDX!
