5 Brutal AI factions fight off against each other..

Winner: SAGE

To clear things up, what the results you want for your question is simple impossible. Have you even seen how only one Brutal AI can make the game lag, especially Brutal China AI ?? How much more if you have fre*kin' FIVE Brutal AIs battle in a map which each AI has a city of its own ?? The engine, SAGE, simply cannot handle that much faction units in a single map, not to mention how the pathfinding in the SAGE engine sucks, which results in a game speed of 1 FPs, and ultimately results in CRASH.

RotR setting is set in the 2040s, so replacing the F-22 with the older F-16s will be the biggest aesthetic nerf to the supposedly HIGH TECH faction with Air Superiority there key tactics. Plus, the Raptor was iconic from vanilla Gens/ZH, and dev team planned RotR to preserve iconic units in the game, which is also why you still see Red Guards and Battlemasters for China.

USA combat doctrine is 'high speed, low drag". This unit clearly doesn't follow that doctrine. It only makes them as Shock Trooper wannabes.

The devs are doing this in their free time and making them for us for FREE. So try to stop your bickering about an immediate release. If you don't, your no different to the company that makes bullsh*t games and is named after the first 2 vowels in the f*cking English language.

Personally, I hated RA3 when I tried it out. That, and the fact that RA3 unit designs were far more cartoonist and stupid (seriously??! a walking boat with Tesla guns and japenese transformers on steriods) than the legend its predecessor had (RA1/RA2) even with limited graphics it had amazing fast paced gameplay.

If your referring about ECA Howitzer Positions and Mortar Pits not being used as offense against enemies, the answer is in the question itself, DEFENCE. ECA strategy is all about bunkering in, tech up, hitting the assaulting enemy with long range bombardments (howitzers and mortars) behind a massive wall of defences. While the enemy has their army decimated by your defences and their eco trying cope with the losses, that is the perfect moment to strike with you own army(and protocol units) you have built while defending your base. Although you could still use Howitzer Positions and Mortar Pits to assault the enemy(via forward outposts), its pretty much a hassle trying to build them. That is why you have Mortar Tracks, Pandora and Claymores(next version) for the job of long range mobile artillery.

Um Scud, the Heavy Sniper was already planned a long time ago before the release of 1.8 version. They must have included the Heavy Sniper in the next version along with the new infantry from other factions in order to make infantry a much more viable option than just spamming tanks and attack.

Well, if you want to play online(not just Filipino players), there is a Hamachi network dedicated to ROTR. It pretty much has some medium to low activity there but the people there are friendly and is always welcoming to more players. If you don't know much about Hamachi or VPNs, you can always visit the SWR forums. There's a subforum there that tells you what to do and what software you need to join the online ROTR commmunity(since Generals Online or Gamespy down).

Also, the next version (1.85) will include its own online server (SWR.Net) that, given you have a stable internet connection, will connect you to all people who plays the 1.85 version.

Until 1.85 is released, you'll have to make do with Hamachi.

How does the two bomb trucks in the middle actually differ ?? Are they just for visual purposes to easily identify their loadouts as either Russian or Chinese nuke OR do they really have different stats ??
Not really fishing for direct or statistical info, just a simple explanation is enough to feed my curiosity..

Yes!! A lore update.. A awesome one too.. Finally, the ECA will now drive Aleksander and his freakin' Shock Troopers from Berlin!! And those new experimental units, very awesome indeed. Can't wait for the 1.85 release..

A question though, are there still more lore updates once 1.85 is out ?? cause the major part of the RotR timeline revolves around the Russo-European War and this update clearly says that the war is at its climax..

Maybe EA could hire SWR Productions to make a better Generals 2 purely based on ROTR ??? But then again, EA doesn't give a s**t about quality of games, they only care how much money they bring in. And the development team might have better plans for their own personal lives than to spend the rest of it on mods, considering the fact that they only do this as a hobby. Although I wouldn't mind SWR having their own made game. These guys just have awesome talents. Who knows what good the future holds for SWR ...

Bleh... just spam bomb trucks. Disguise them to fool those soo called "infidel war machines". Get around its big, fat, sloppy *** and watch them go boom! Now, wheres your king of all heavy b**ts ??? :-P

Anyway, the Overlord tank would be king though. Its cost efficient, its fast and versatile, and it can benefit from two Chinese buffs: Propaganda and Frenzy Gen Powers. Not to mention that you can easily replace it with a new one should you lose your Overlords.

Sentinel tank ??? Meh, its just another Kodiak tank whose holding a bigger schtick and slapped with. ERA junk.

Manticore tank ??? Has very high firepower and repair rate. But it can be built one at a time, making it a target practice for an overwhelming force.

Can anyone tell me why do some units attack at something on the ground by themselves even though there's nothing there ?? What's more suprising is that its projectiles look like they've been deflected upward... Is this a bug ??
