"unofficial submod" so basically a submod with stolen assets
Could have asked simply for permission, and if persmission was denied it should be accepted before damaging ones own reputation among modders.
I'll give him two extra points for the time he spend to make this asset compilation and editing adding the new entries for new items, troops, party and scene entries, even though it's not a complicated task but quite simple, if you spend a little bit of time to learn the very basics of M&B modding.
And because he's at least honest, although the unallowed use of assets deserves a penalty.
But three points is already low, so I'll leave it at that for now, might change my mind later.
But it won't get a higher rating from me.

Not the best mod, the models look awful, from faces of the actors in the movies to the armors. I mean if the mod creator put some more effort into this mod, I wouldn't be so harsh, but all models and textures are stolen from different lotr mods like third age total war, The last days of the third age, some lotr skyrim armor packs and many more and badly rigged, the models clip a lot. Even for mount and blade standards they look quite bad. There are only some exceptions, that look good, but most of them aren't.

The map is also geographically totally inaccurate and everthing else than middle earth's map. The gameplay is generic and doesn't add anything new to it, you're literally playing Native with Lotr skins, no special quest or new gameplay systems or combat mechanics. The only thing that stands out, is it's music because the mod uses the score of the movies.

This mod is about quantity and not quality. One can do such a mod for his personal and private use. but shouldn't release it as an actual Lotr middle earth mod, for a release its quality isn't yet high enough, though that might change in the future. Even I could do such a mod if I had enough time and I doesn't even consider myself a modder. And the modder himself even forbids people to use all those stolen models in their mods, which is ridiculous, since it's not even his models, who can tell them to mention him in the credits for rigging the meshes, but not just forbid it.

The only thing I apreciate is that he took the time to create this modalmost entirely alone without a team of skilled modders. And that's it from me about this mod.
If you want a really good mod with good custom made skins and a unique mount and blade experince that don't contradict lore as much as this mod do, play The Last Days of the third Age, right now some new people further develope TLD, so it will be even better in the future.
