This looks great! You captured the scene very well and the poses, perspective are all quite well done.

Though blue sky, white clouds and green grass. That's all a bit basic and simplified isn't it?

My suggestion is, to make it look slightly less like.. uhm.. well like what a four year old child would do. Try using a bit more of a grayish (just less blue) sky and tone down the color of the grass.

Also, try to shift he focus a bit more on the figures and the event of the scene. Cropping a picture is nearly always a must when you're finalizing your creation. At least, that's what I have found.

That's about all the advice I can think of. I think you picked a great theme for the scene, the flying machine is captured very well. =)

Thanks Admiral :)
Well, there were more colors in it before I brightened it up and changed the contrast, but yes, grass looks kind of boring in these tones.
Thanks for the advice, will look to make it better in the next picture :)

Of course I do :)
Unfortunately my own PC broke a while back so I have to use the family one for modeling and painting (the programming pc cant handle it) so it is kinda hard to get time for working. :/ :D

Description

Hey guys,

here is my first digital painting in photoshop so far.
It's made for an art project in school which I have to present today.
I worked around ~8-10 hours on it.
It came out pretty well, did not expect that it looks like that on the first try. The original resolution is 6000x3700px, a file size of around 15mb and therefore I had to scale it down for moddb to around 1024x600px.
Now I just have to learn alot more and sketch like hell :)

I hope you like it, constructive critism is welcome!

Cheers
