Never mind, figured it out!

Turns out, the interactive grass setting was causing these issues. Once I turned them off in the mod manager, my game started working properly again.

Sorry about the delayed reply.
First of all, I really appreciate the quick response, huge kudos to you!

The fix works properly, I can deal and take damage now.
However, there are two separate issues with the modded exes.

1. All foliage has now disappeared from my game, including grass, bushes and shrouds. I've checked this outside Yantar too, and seems to be the case everywhere. The funny thing is that distant trees seem to have visible leaves, but they disappear once I get closer to them. Is there maybe some weird issue with grass / foliage minimum distance?

2. There are some weird visual artifacts when I'm shooting at someone - see below (especially visible at the start, and around 20 seconds in):

I don't want to bother you too much, but if I'm overlooking something, or if there's an easy fix for these, please let me know!

I'm playing with DX11 AVX, and made sure to refresh the shader cache after reinstalling the mod.

Many thanks in advance!

I would LOVE to use this add-on, but if I install it on top of Gamma (Anomaly 1.5.2), and replace the executable with the one included, weapons don't deal damage anymore. I can't hurt anyone, and they can't hurt me either. Pretty weird issue. Tried reinstalling multiple times, disabling other related mods, and clearing the shader cache, but the moment I replace the executable, the game breaks.

If anyone has a fix, please let me know, would be much appreciated!

Hey, just saw you message in my inbox, sorry about the late reply. To be honest, I don't think it will work, this pack is held together by duct tape and chewing gum (and sheer willpower pretty much), it's hard to add additional content without breaking it, especially when we're talking about larger scale addons, like the ones you have mentioned. It all comes down to what files the addon changes - however as I can see, there is support for DrX Questlines, AO and OA in Lost to the Zone, so it's not a lost cause, but it would require a lot of work to get it stable. (Living Legend is out of the question thought because it required CoC 1.5.)

Lost to the Zone seems very problematic to me due to all the content it changes - I believe it would require a lot of tweaking to get it done. For that, you would need to individually change every file that gets overwritten during install, and even so I'm pretty sure it would break something along the way - but if you're feeling adventurous and know what you're doing, you can always give it a shot. ;)

Pretty weird, I haven't ran into that issue myself. Are you running CoC version 1.4.22?

Can you paste your crash log on Justpaste.it (or a similar site) and drop me a link? That might help figuring out what went wrong.

Also, look under the "recommended settings" section under the mod description, there are some tweaks that might help with memory-related issues.

That's all you need to do. Did you install CoC in it's separate folder?
Maybe try starting the game without installing the pack first, close it, and then paste the contents of the archive into the game's folder. Let me know if it still doesn't work!

It is possible, but would take loads of effort - not only would you have to apply separate compatibility patches for certain addons (which might or might not completely break the current setup), you would also need to go through each weapon's individual settings, since I tweaked certain aspects inside the files themselves.
Still, if you decide to give it a shot, I can try and help. ;)

Alas, I don't think Warfare has full functionality. There are some aspects that don't work (or at least not properly) in CoC 1.4.22. Very sorry about that. It still makes the game a lot more combat and squad oriented, but I'm not sure whether you can spawn your own squads here.

Yeah, it's listed on the known issues section. :P
I tried removing the guide section, but it caused more issues. Just ignore that tab in your PDA, you won't need it anyway. ;)

Hey,
You can try installing the Universal Damage Mod (https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/universal-stalker-higher-damage-mod), it will make it so that you deal more damage to enemies (but not the other way around).
In theory, you should still be able to down most enemies with 1-2 headshots, unless they are wearing some strong head gear. Thing is, due to the smarch config and the warfighter mod, ammo penetration and armod now play an important part in damage calculation, so if you're not using AP rounds and the enemy has decent armor, it will take a bunch of body shots to bring them down. Still, if you take a look at a video I've posted a few comments above, you can see that when using good weapons and AP rounds, most enemies go down in 1-2 shots.

If you want to sway the balance a bit, just go for the Universal Damage mod, theoretically it shouldn't conflict with my pack.

The rating system seems to be busted, I gave this a 10/10 yesterday, but it shows a 3. (https://i.imgur.com/Ggu78MC.png)

Is it the same on your end? Just wondering...

Never mind then, I've just found a post about the same issue in reddit, apparently it is caused by using the patch 1.4.12 instead of 1.4.22.
Try doing a fresh install of CoC with the 1.4.22 patch, that should solve the scope/binoc issue!

Quick question: are you playing in 16:10 aspect ratio by any chance?

Here's me getting rid of some Monolith scum (heheh) in Limansk. Youtu.be

I use the exploration version myself, but the shooting mechanics are the exact same in both. Just wanted to illustrate that landing 1-2 headshots usually nets a kill. Granted, I'm using relatively high tier weapons, but the enemy has good armor too. So don't worry, it will get better after the early game. ;)

Are you using CoC 1.4.22? Works fine here and judging by the feedback it should work properly with a fresh install of CoC.
(If you're gonna give it a 0 rating, at least wait for my response, let's try to figure out what's wrong with it on your end.)

This is just an update, you will need to install one of the two addon packs first. (Links in the description.) I'll put in an extra line there just to make sure people know this is not a standalone.

Hmm, that's strange, never encountered that issue myself. Can you check the Relations tab on your PDA? By default, bandits and loners should be enemies and shoot each other at sight. Maybe try starting a new game to check if the issue persists. To be honest, I have no idea why it might happen in the first place.

Hmm, technically you should be able to kill most enemies with 1-2 headshots (3 tops if they have a really good helmet), it could be that some of your pellets missed, not sure. Also keep in mind that weapon damage now mostly depends on bullet type, so if you get some AP rounds, you should be able to down enemies with headshots, even if they wear helmets. Shooting them in the back is kinda iffy, especially depending on the armor they wear since the Warfighter addon changes the way armor affects incoming damage. Still, it depends a lot on the kind of ammo you're using. If you want, you can try adding the Universal Damage mod to the game (https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/universal-stalker-higher-damage-mod) - it will only affect outgoing damage.
You can re-enable HUD elements by installing the appropriate version of Smurth's HUD addon (https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/smurths-dynamic-hudv2151410aoowrstcopoa). If you scroll up (or just search for "HUD" on this page), you can find some comments about how exactly to install and enable it. If something is unclear, feel free to let me know!

That's strange... it's obviously some sort of issue with the dynamic a-life mod, but it's really hard to figure out the exact cause from afar. I will check if I can find some sort of solution once I have some free time. Did you add the addon pack to a fresh install of CoC? Are you using any other addons in addition? (Just trying to see if it could be cause by any external factor.)

Hmm, can you paste a crash log here the next time it happens? The pack is pretty resource-intensive, mostly due to the HD models. You can try adding -noprefetch to the executable (instructions in description) or changing your dx settings/lowering your graphics. It runs absolutely stable on my end (had a friend test it too on his rig too just to be sure), but you might never know with Stalker... :P
