Wow just tryed out that SVN 0.18 release its brilliant!, about 100x better than te 0.17 version there is now

M4Jax the reason it is the way that it looks now, is because this is a ported version from BG1, all the weapons were made for Half-life 1,and becaus eits an extremely early beta :P

oh and jizzoJoe i think you are very confused, looking now none of the servers have passwords on, i think you are mixed up with the VAC secured server sign as all of the servers for bg2 are vac secured from what i see, so you dont need a password.

I dont know how you can compare the melee in this game to dod's, dods is just first to hit i nthe general direction, the melee in this requires skill and accuracy.

and i'd rather be hitting hopeing im going to get a headshot than stood in an open area arsing about with Parrying, swinging and so forth while the other team just shoots me.

this is what killed the mutliplayer game,

if you want to play this game fine, but you should know that the chances are your going to be killed by a cheater in your first round, and it also started this "1337" where faggots kill a number of people in a row with there aimbot and then say "0mFg 1 1s t3h 1337" and they have several newbie suck ups with them also with aimbots excet they are not as good at using them.

this mod is far from dead, they have beta tests of the new version goign on,

this mod shows so mutch potential, with all these genious ideas in it, ideas that other mods havent even thought about, at current status there are a few bugs but i believe this will be a great mod when finished

also in 1.2.2 there are excellent new effects which make the game look alot better graphics wise, i think the screen shots there are from 1.2 , we are now on 1.2.1 and there is a beta of 1.2.2 rc4 out

Hybrid comments like that are uncalled for,

you obviously havent been playing this mod very long, and you would know that the melee is not buggy atall just different, its not like dod or cs it takes alot of skill to get a headshot on the other person with the knife/sabre and to a lesser exstent the bayonet

and you obviously havent downloaded the official map pack which has some new very well made maps in there better than most of the ones that come with the full game which are more than 2 years old,

and its on the hl engine ffs so how is it ment to have great graphics, there are plenty of 3rd party models to replace any that you dont like, my favorate are the napoleonic playermodels, and yo ucan get all this stuff in the 3rd party section on the forums and more stuff at jackhamemrs quick access download page, so please get some experiance with the game before you post bs comments from your first impression on the 1.2.1 **** up of forest road.
