Hi, I'm Nathan. I am a studying games developer since about December 2005. I have always had a passion for games, I have always played games, and have always dreamt of creating my own games one day and so now I am working towards that dream. Currently I work alone, and am studying just about all aspects of games development. I plan to keep working alone as long as possible until I am financially secure enough that I can start up a large studio and hire other team members to work on higher quality AAA titles. I am currently working towards creating a mod for the Cryengine which I won't disclose any details for just yet(Details to come when the mod is finished or near finished). The images on my profile may hint at what this project may be about however ;) And I really don't know what else to say without rambling.

I remember you saying you use reason 3.0 If your using the redrum drum machine try sending the audio output through the scream 4 distortion. Set it to tape mode and the case to E and well tweak around with the other setting see what you like. you should be able to make the drums sound alot more lively that way

Yeah, I haven't used redrum, in fact I have barely used any of those things in Reason. All of what i've learnt in reason is fairly basic stuff, and that's mainly because I haven't used any tutorials to learn Reason 3.0.
This track was one of my older better tracks, but I know that I can certainly make it better :)

Thanks for your advice, it is appreciated :)

If I want anything to sound better quality in reason, it is the guitars to use with heavy metal sortof tracks.
And yeh, I definately do wish I had better drums..actually I wish I had better of nearly all the instruments, lol.

Yeah I can't say reason has a very good sample bank. I would recommend actually making your own guitar samples if thats what your after, possibly record the guitar in say 4 bar sections and have a long midi trigger to play all of it in the sampler. that way you get good guitar but also access to the efx plugins of reason.

The only other thing you can do is really use the graphic EQ. But like I said most of the audio samples are Crap to begin with.

yeah.
There was a heavy metal track that I downloaded for reason and the band have their samples availble for download, I downloaded them, but i've hardly a clue on how to just put the sounds as a simple key on the time bar thing.
You do know what I mean by that "coughing" sound though don't you. It's right at the start of the sound being played it sortof goes "Jaohhh". Which is especially noticable in the "all hell breaks loose" track.

Good song! Only thing I'd say is the bass is a little boring and the very beginning a little cheesy, to me. Really though, good song, don't know what else to say.

Heh, yeah, it was pretty much the first decent song I did, I could redo this and make it sooooo so so much better, but i'll do that when I need to.
The song goes good only at about the 1min mark, when it all picks up. Before then it's really boring, and the drum beat is really boring and repetative, so i'll fix that up to be more interesting one day :P

I'm a perfectionist, so I will simply say that this track is still a WIP. There are a few things like the drum beat that I want to vary a bit and also fix up some volume issues, bass and what not.
Chances are, if you find a fault, I've already thought of it, but please share your "constructive" criticism. It is most certainly welcome :)
