Hi, I'm Nathan. I am a studying games developer since about December 2005. I have always had a passion for games, I have always played games, and have always dreamt of creating my own games one day and so now I am working towards that dream. Currently I work alone, and am studying just about all aspects of games development. I plan to keep working alone as long as possible until I am financially secure enough that I can start up a large studio and hire other team members to work on higher quality AAA titles. I am currently working towards creating a mod for the Cryengine which I won't disclose any details for just yet(Details to come when the mod is finished or near finished). The images on my profile may hint at what this project may be about however ;) And I really don't know what else to say without rambling.
This is another one of my earlier tracks. Some have told me it sounds a bit like rammstein mixed with the marylin manson resident evil main theme, so I guess that's a good thing for what I was trying to achieve.
The track obviously needs some work. The distortion (saw) noise in it is too violent to the speakers, but I just haven't got around to fixing that up yet.
And this is also to show that the heavy guitar sounds i'm using having what I like to call a "coughing" effect which makes the guitar sounds sound really synthetic. Note that this is not a good thing, this is mainly to show what sortof sounds i'm working with here.
I do like the track however, the drum beat in particular is nice I think, and goes to show that there isn't really anything wrong with the drums i'm using, it's just how I've used them in other older tracks that make the drums sound bad.
I don't use loops in my tracks, I manually put in each keynote and if need be, I simply copy and paste segments and edit them.
Right now I'm listening to this in head phones but I like the opening synth and I can't hear it doing bad stuff to my speakers.
If your worried about it try sending it through a limiter or compression.
It's not doing bad stuff to the speakers, but it just sounds overly distorted perhaps.
Oh and it sounds ok in game, but it's definately not an ambient track, it'll be used for a failed ending.
(Game will have multiple endings)
