Anyone have an issue with non star fighters not firing at all? I cant destroy a base because my Corvette and Star Destroyer aren't attacking

Why am I getting a white background with arrows, deformed words, and a giant orange humanoid looking creature in the space background??

I'm wondering if there's anyway to replace the mass effect music with the original loading music for battles? It really kills the immersion for me :/
