Unfortunately they will probably never release the mod tools because if they did that, then they would basically be releasing their engine (in some form). This way the general public would know the way they have set up destructible building, to their audio setup and even their lighting setup. Karl Magnus Troedsson even said that DICE did not want to release their engine (or even parts of it) and wanted to keep it "in house". Its a same though, because BF3 really does have the potential to be great. Hopefully the rest of the features make up for the short comings like no mod tools.

Great work JONES! I played ur original Divided City map and it was great. Now that you have finalized it (and hopefully fixed some bugs ;) I look forward to playing it.

P.S. Not to criticize a fellow modder, but when i played the map originally i used the truck and found when driving it, it had a "waterbed" feel to it. Was this intentional? Besides that, great map. I look forward to playing this mod! :)
