Go to F:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\YourSteamUser\half-life. Right click hl.exe and click on properties. Click on the Compatibility Tab, check Run this program in compatibility mode for, then select Windows 98/Windows Me. Click OK, then run the mod with OpenGL and you should be fine. =)
