Yes indeed, thanks for your response. By looking at the mod's code, I was able to understand the concept and the intention and it is worthy. Unfortunately the UI does not help reflect this alternate way of upkeep in a clear way and all you can see is an annoying fluctuation on the net income that breaks the concept of cash flow. The result is that player looses sight of how economy works and confusion takes over. By the way, I was able to disable this behavior and set it back to old good escalating upkeep. Now this awesome mod is really "the best of both worlds", at least for me :)

Ah!... finally figured out how to disable this "feature". Yes, it is indeed a feature. Authors went a long way to add this behavior (very ingenious, by the way). But, IMHO, it is obscure and annoying. The rest of the mod is simply awesome. Lost and lots of great work!. I can't wait to see what else your team will bring next.

Here is what I think is a subtle but very annoying bug on STA3:
The mod has an odd behavior that I could not observe on vanilla Rebellion. In a 1vs1 game against AI (have not tested other scenarios), the income rate for both players fluctuates on a regular pattern with cycles of five minutes or less. On the game stats, the income rate graphic shows as a serrated line like this /|/|/|/| for both players at the same time (in synchronicity). I can provide a screenshot if anybody interested. This odd effect is barely noticeable at lower fleet development levels and becomes more pronounced as higher fleet levels are reached, to the point where income rate becomes near zero or even negative at times. Even more odd is that on STA3, numbers on the income details info card do not add up. For example I can have 50 cred/sec from taxes plus 40 cred/sec from trade with an upkeep of say 75%. On vanilla Rebellion that would be (50 + 40) * (1 - 0.75) = 22.5 cred/sec net income. On STA3, the net income fluctuates on the way described above so the numbers do not add up at all times. When I develop full fleets in STA3, the upkeep should be no more than 38%, per mod design. Nevertheless, income becomes negative at times and any extra income I can get from selling metals or crystals is quickly eaten up. This does not make sense at all.

Yeah, that income fluctuation is really annoying and does not make sense at all. It is true that Armada 3 fleet upkeep is zero until level 5 but I prefer to have a small upkeep and keep increasing as fleet increases in size than having that unpredictable fluctuation. On top of that, when I hover on the credits number, the figures on the info card do not add up. If this is really a feature, I will love to know how to alter the mods to put it back the original way.
