Thanks, If i could use 8K textures, i would present best reults here, but the editor crashes as i try to load 8k textures, now I use 4K Textures here. It is hard Job to make a alltime Classic as a new Version. I think about to start again with the mod.

Thanks for the Comment, now the Sandbox 2 is an ideal Environment for testing of objects. Maybe I make a Level and use the Objects with new Textures I have so far, this would be make more Sense then.

ok now its official appearing. Crysis 1 Remaster will come soon. Now this means that i stop with recreating textures and this mod. It was not for nothing, because while analyzing all of the great Textures I learned the basics for Texturing and making my own Game now.

because i need to calculate. If the Texture Size on the Truck is 2048 and I make it 3 times bigger then i need to watch what i can do on a Object with 256 Texture Size. Maybe 2048 is enough, but i want to read whats on the red Label, which is impossible to read on a 256 Original Format.

i only spent more Time on creating Objects with few Polygons to get a Sense of Gameready Models also for the potential Use in a Crysis Mod. So those Practices are important

Thanks for the help here, i now try some things import and export a DDS File and delete the 10 Mipmaps and import again, no this would be too easy :D
I use this program for export to DDS "Easy2Convert PNG to DDS" because somehow i cant direct export from Gimp, so Gimp will export only One Layer of all of the Layers. I first need to export to PNG

13 mipmaps are written into a Texture by default, while i can choose the compression Type and Filter Type, somehow I cant choose the Amount of Mipmaps

My GPU Memory is 8Gb and I use some Compression here and there but, but not constant because i dont figured out which of the correct compression type is used in Game. This 3Gb Memory Error inside of the editor i got on every system I used since now. I think its because of Texture Resolution. Yeah I try some compression types, maybe this helps. Thanks

Nanosuit is not in my interest now, because the nanosuit by default has a good Texture in Comparison to the environment.

i dont have made changes on the nanosuit yet, but ofcourse there can be improvements. More Metallic Look. because of Higher Resolution Maps, you can see scratches or some Rust on metal. Similar to the barrel

Thank You. At the moment i dont have much time to work on the mod, but i have new system. Now I work with a I7 and GTX 1070 on the mod and have average FPS of 120. Now I can go further increasing the new Textures from 4K Resolution to higher Resolution Maps. (The Truck allready got a 6K Map) One major Issue is the Way of reflections, while modern game Engines can reflect Environment with Ease, in old Cryengine its a Challenge. The exciting Part of the whole Project is, that everything can be retextured, also Particles like Fire or Dust ect. But it takes lot of Time and Effort.

Thanks, in 2020 i will release the mod, at the moment i dont have much Time to work on the mod. One Thing should be clear, I now work with a I7 and GTX 1070 on the mod and have average fps of 120 with new Textures. Those Settings and Specs i recommend. As I made those Pictures I used a I5 and GTX 770

Thank You Luca, to me this is a ideal platform. In Crysis 1 and Cryengine 2 Editor I can enhance Graphics and also bring new Objects in. So i also think on what Objects, that are not there at the Moment can enhance the Mine Level. i wished to go back in Time, when they are at Production Stage on Crysis 1 and try to get a Job there in this Time Period.

The Challenge with Clouds is that they use lot of Overlay Textures. So there are multiple Cloud textures that move together. The Hardcut Edge can be soften.

Thanks Marek, Ofcourse Im testing here different textures. The Metal Stripe can have more Overlays of Scratches yes. Normal Map is missing on Metal Bottom too.

Thanks. The main issue i have is half of the new Textures cant be saved. The Saving Process in the Engine is very complicated so wthout this issue at least one Level would be finished.

Nice to hear from the Project, then you know what huge Work this is to make new Textures. The common Tools in famous Apps like Unsharp Masks are not working very well. I will test the Gigapixel App.

Ich teste hier erstmal ein paar Ideen und Texturen. Die Bump Map das kommt später auch noch. Aber für kleine Steine mache Ich extra 3d Objekte weil das eben nochmal ganz anders wirkt, wenn echte 3d Steine da sind.

And can I somehow make it happen to use more than 3gb ? Maybe there are special Tools or Tweaks ? 9gb would be great, then Im happy, but now I have Trouble and watch carefully as the memory goes up to 3gb and then the Problems occur....What Compiler you speak about here ?
