Which gun are you trying to use and with which scope? In case you were misled by the mod description, only the guns that are from Shader 3D Scopes have the scopes, the guns under "Shader 3d Scopes:" in the Weapons Affected tab.

Maybe and no. At the moment, the integrated scope variant of the SV98 has not been touched by this mod since it's included in base S3DS, though it may get touching up "soon". As for the EoTech issue, that cannot be affected by our mod since it only swaps the models for scoped weapon variants.

Because not every EFP user that adds more mods to their install always checks the server itself. It's also technically possible to get EFPWP standalone by taking EFP's modpack from their server and taking the EFPWP mod, so anyone who wants to do that can also use it.

It's a weapon mod exclusive to the modpack Escape From Pripyat (EFP). It's possible to take the mod from the install of EFP itself and inject it into your own game, but that may cause issues. The EFP discord is here if you want to try it out/just grab the mod: Discord.gg

Every weapon in EFPWP that has a magnified optic has one of these faux PiP scopes. Vanilla and BaS weapons do not, however the mod this is based on and requires has a select few vanilla weapons with these scopes.

The mod has a conflict with Blindside's Reanimation Pack. My reposition mod has a fix inside, as well as repositions for all the weapons because EFP's reposition mods do not play nice, but it's definitely different to most reposition styles, so you can just delete the "mod_system_zzzz3dgunrepos.ltx" file in gamedata/configs if you want to use it without the repositions. Just make sure you have any mod with reposition in the name disabled in MO2 so the positions will work correctly.

It can be used without Shader 3D Scopes, you just need to install the DX-8 compatibility version, however you should keep the Shader 3D Scopes mod active so the positions are correct. I would also suggest taking the "models" folder from your current installation of the mod and copying that into the new downloaded version under the "gamedata" folder

There may be a solution to your issue, however. What gun are you trying to use?
Have you installed the latest Modded EXE's, do you have the latest Mark Switch mod installed, do you have the latest Shader 3D Scopes mod installed?
Is your load order correct? The load order should be Lower Weapon Sprint, Mark Switch, Shader 3D Scopes, At The Ready Reposition.

Yes, however some of the positions may be off, and you would have to delete the "models" folder in the mod file. It is heavily recommended to just use Blindside's reanimation pack to avoid any issues.

I went ahead and just threw together a quick FOMOD installer with an install for DX9/8 compatibility. It is now out-of-the-box compatible, but the positions will still be off until I get around to fixing them, but that will take a while even if I take time off of completing the main project.

I forget that exists and people play on it... After some testing, it would be possible to use this with DX8 and without the original mod by simply deleting the "meshes" folder, and the "mod_system_3ds_scopes" file in the configs folder. Otherwise, everything breaks. All S3DS weapons will still be messed up and you'll need to edit the scope texture calls in the LTX file, however you would just need to delete any lines with "scope_texture" if there isn't already a texture at the end of it.

Technically yes, but all weapons in S3DS will have strange positions, their 2D scopes will not activate, and possibly crash to desktop upon usage. If you want to use this mod while retaining 2d scopes, you'll need to still have Shader 3D Scopes downloaded, and you'll need to edit the LTX file in this mod and add the proper texture file calls to each of these guns. Pretty much anywhere that the line "scope_texture" is, you'll need to add the texture file line. I *might* do that myself an optional install at some point far down the road, but not definitely not any time soon.
Though I would like to ask, why wouldn't you want to use it with Shader 3D Scopes?

Ideally it should work with vanilla since even without EFPWP an LTX call to a null weapon doesn't do anything, but Blindside's reanimation pack is affected since it has its own model files for some weapons, so that could cause issues.

It isn't compatible with EFP, especially not this version without GAMMA's weapons (or whichever mod these guns are from) installed. S3DS itself is somewhat compatible, but requires changes to positioning, and Blindside's reanimation pack makes L85's CTD on equipping, requiring different models to be used. My reposition mod has a fix and is built for using S3DS with EFP, but it's very stylistically different from most reposition mods and affects quite a few non-S3DS weapons.

There's issues with the eye relief values for the AUG A1, G36 and its variants, the G3, the F2000, the Vintorez Nimble and Night Vision, the TOZ-34 Bizon, and the M4A1 RAS ACOG. There may be more that I'm missing, but those are the ones I found and had to fix on my own.

It seems to work alright, but the reposition mods used in EFP don't work with the mod so manual adjustment has to be done to put the scopes in the right locations.

Whenever I load this mod all of the grass is directly under the player, and this problem persists even without the mod after changing it unless I delete the shader cache, but that fix doesn't work when the mod itself is loaded. I am playing EFP but I've disabled all of the mods that would conflict, and yet the problem persists.
