Hypobaric Functions

Mr.P.Kiwi Blog

This will be my second puny attempt at writing down my thoughts - brace yourselves.
Today I decided to introduce the pneumatic diversity vents in Back Stock, as there are no maps utilizing this puzzle element in the game. I figured it would be wise to just re-work my old chambers using this concept, Diversity Gels, and Rapid Effusion.
I soon gave up on Diversity Gels 2.0 because I had no new ideas for a new and exciting puzzle with the concept I used there. So I was left with Rapid Effusion - which as many claimed was a great experience. Rapid Effusion, though, was originally named Hypobaric Function 2.0 - it was a heavily modified map I made long ago.

Hypobaric Functions started out as cooperative map. Quickly I figured that I couldn't think of puzzles to go with it, and knowing no one would find a partner for a 3 minute coop experience I re-worked it a bit and transformed it into Hypobaric Functions 2.1 - single player map. This map, I must say, had a nice concept and 'flow' to it. Sadly there was a way to skip the puzzle and the brush-work wasn't so good...

Seeing how I can rework Rapid Effusion into something completely different is pretty exciting and I could add it to Back-Stock as part of my diversity vent course. Another Bad Pun had graciously agreed to detail the map for me and this is how it looks now:

First timer

Mr.P.Kiwi Blog

I am bored, and as far as I can tell there is nothing interesting on the Internet, you must have come here with that same insight. Anyway, this is my first blog post, ever. And if that's not enough I'm writing this from an iPad... Awesome!
Well, I'll just rumble about my mapping now. I joined Portal 2: Back Stock a couple weeks ago, and I recently finished my third map, an underground one which is great. I don't want to spoil the game, so I'll just same I named the map sp_bs_a4_bounce_maneuver - take that as you will. Now I'm quite aware that you are the only person in the world, other than me, who will ever read this, and I thank you for taking your time reading this.
That was incredibly short...
