I just found a bad bug. When you use the secondary fire on the ssg. it cost no shells. so you have unlimited ammo.

After i reinstalled it, i played trough a few stages. (on bring it on)
And man it is a big difference. I don't know what went wrong the first time, but i am sure glad it is fixed now.

The increased difficulty turned out to be a really weird glitch.
imps,cacodemons and everything else that shoots projectiles, where shooting much faster than they are suppost to. they shot more and faster fireballs than enemies in normal brutal doom v20b on the black metal skill. And i was playing on be gentle.
I couldn't get passed the 3rd stage(on be gentle skill) 2 imps drained 200 health and Armour in 2 seconds.
I reinstalled the game, and now it is fine. I started on bring it on, and it is not that hard at all.

That is not a glitch.
The chainsaw runs on gas in v1b.
Read the patch notes.

I found a bad bug.
I did a fatality move on a cyberbarron.
he dropped a revenant rune, and i got transformed immediately before the dead animation was finished.
When i was the revenant, i couldn't walk anymore.
So i waited until i turned back into a marine. but i still couldn't walk.
I was not stuck in the ground or wall. jumping still worked fine, and i was nowhere near a wall.

Is it possible to Make frag grenade's and mine's the same button?
And have another button switch between them.
That way you can add more things like pipebombs, molotov cocktails, dynamite, etc, without using up more buttons.

Bug report:

- If you get hit after a fatality move, you can get stuck in the 3rd person perspective. (Happens mostly with chain gunners)

- sentry gun can be picked up after there destroyed.

- When you get a imp meatshield and crush it's head, the switch animation of the UAC 30 DMR gets stuck if you try to dual wield it.

- In valiant.wad, all maps work perfect, except for The Mancubian Candidate (MAP07). The fps drops to 1 frame per 2 seconds.
I think that there is something wrong with the rule that your not allowed to kill the mancubus.
I swear it's not my pc, because even the slaughter maps run perfectly smooth.

- Captured marines with that new plasma gun variant can deal damage to the player. (a lot)

- Some grenades can not go trough teleporters anymore.

If PB 2.1 is gonna take awhile, can you maybe release another hotfix
that fixes the bug with the sentry gun?
It feels so cheap beating a difficult map because of this exploit.

I first installed the mod like normal.(Gzdoom 2.1)
Then i put .bat files in the gzdoom folder. In the .bat files i typed %c d %.
That command calls the value of the folder where the .bat file is located.
Then i put in the load order. with this method you can just copy the whole gzdoom folder to a usb stick, and play it on any pc without having to install everything al over again. I put a lot of .bat files in the folder. they are simply called Play alien vendetta.bat, play starterpack.bat, play Valiant.bat etc. Just click on which one you want to play.

You are right. with the version i made you can only play it one way.
you can select all your wad files, but that is it.
So maybe it was a dumb idea of me.
I just wanted to help making the mod more user friendly.
But didn't factor in, that a lot of people use different huds, music, or other extensions.

I just wanted to help improve the quality of the mod,
by making it more user friendly.

I think the installation of the mod is way to complicated.
So i made a easy click to play version.
No ZDL load order ******** necessary.
Is there any way i can send this to you so you can look in to it.
This can make you mod available for more casual pc users.
All you need to do with my version is download the mod, and play it.

The particle thing happen after i updated gz doom.
So like i sad, gz doom is the problem. its not your fault.
The newer versions of gz doom (2016 or newer) make pb completely glitch out.

Ps, im a huge fan of your work. this is the most fun i had with a game since a long time.

For everybody that experience all sorts of weird bugs and crashes.
And loaded the game in the correct order.
I found out what the problem is. gzdoom is the problem.
for the new pb 2.0, i downloaded the newest version of gzdoom 2.1 to.
all the versions released in 2016 give a lot of problems in pb.
the latest version (Jan 14) made all particals go nuts, and crashed the game.
Then i downloaded gzdoom-g2.1.pre-1231-g5a7afad, and now the game works like a charm. so it is not pains fault.

Here are some ideas that might be interesting for the mod.

- Adding quad damage powerup

- Adding sentry bots like doom 3

- Changing the demon demon morph rune, night vision goggles, and radiation suit into inventory items.

- Making the use button do the fatalities when a enemy is low on hp.(like doom 4)
instead of having to switch to your fist, and take damage.
(maybe change the berserk pack into quad damage powerup)

- Adding a upgrade for the chainsaw to make it a double bladed one.
Like the one in doom 64.

- Ading more melee weapons, like a katana, sword ore a axe.
Plz no lightsaber XD.

- Using the numpad keys as hotkeys for inventory items.

- Adding Volcabus fire mode for the mancubus flame cannon.
