Total War : 1942

Mod review

I will start by saying I have played for about 12 hours on the steam version and feel like I have a good hold on what the mod offers.

I was skeptical going in as turning a game that is set in ancient times to a more modern setting is a big task.

Once I got in the game (very easy to install manually like all mods for the steam version) the faction selection screen was as expected.

I love how the Units are balanced in regards to recruiting them. The types of unitys are great as well.

I had a few crashes but that is to be expected.

-For those who do not know the limitations of this old game
Flying units cant fly (just looks like it) so the air units are dumb a lot of
the time.

Most bugs are related to the game being old as dirt.

-Pros
Great work on the units
Great recruitment
Great Factions
Amazing that the game is set in more modern times.

-Cons To Do With Game
The map could use a lot more detail though I am unsure on the limit for Rome1
so they could be at max I guess.

Seige battles can be VERY annoying as you cant go in the front "Gate"

The Money economy is a bit weak in my opinion and could be balanced a bit
better

I recommend the mod to anyone, though keep in mined that this is a mod created on an old game and it is not snazzy like modern games or mods for modern games which total war has 0 cus fek creative assembly.

Overall I love the mod and it is added to my rotation of mods to play. I wish best of luck to the devs of this mod if they work on it more and hope to play the mod for many many more years to come.
