So, why did you name your vehicle "Shadow"? I mean, you also have the canonicle shadow right there along with it. I just thought that you would call it something else.

I do know the story behind the model, that it was called that by Bungie way back when, and that it is the inspiration of the Spectre, but still.

Farewell, my friend. Though I hardly knew ye, I shall miss you. For the one we call the Farseer takes no pity.

I hope that the city map would be more infantry orientated. I hated the urban environments in the original EaW.

Maybe have many of the areas only accessible by infantry and have vehicles more limited in their movement?

So, is this (Gameplay-wise) a giant APC?

Can someone make a video showcasing the units in the Beta on Youtube or something? My EaW: FoC game is kinda screwy right now, so I'm not able to play the main game, let alone mods.

Much appreciated.

@Doomrock9
It isn't. You don't see a US Army General picking up a rifle and entering direct combat, do you? Modern Warfare requires such high ranking officials behind friendly lines.

Then there is the Sangheili Codes. You know the Jackle Point Defense Gauntlet? You know how much better it is at deflecting bullets? Well, according to Ghosts of Onyx, Elites deem them to be unhonorable, and would rarely use them. There is also the fact that many Elites would rather die than pick up a human weapon lying by their feet. They would rather die than to use a weapon that they feel is beneath them! How is that militarily logical? There is also the fact that the upper ranks will be on the frontlines rather than a secure location ("Victory is secured, not from the throne, but the frontlines.", "To lead, One must be seen.").

Another hole in their military logic is the constant use of ground forces. Why do they even get deployed when the planet is just going to bbe burned to ash anyways? Why allow such large scale death of their own units? It's for glory in battle, that's why. And don't mention artefacts; most UNSC worlds didn't have them.

What I'm getting at is that the Covenant Culture is extremely arrogant. They would rather broadcast their status rather than making themselves indistinguishable from the rank-and-file, to the point that they are willing to risk death. They don't give two ***** as to whether or not it is logically (or militarily) sound.

@the_Farseer

Well, given the evidence from various places (Bunie.net scoreboards, etc.), leaders must inspire fear and respect from both allies and enemies. Armor variants, such as the Ultras or Generals, would have shock value.

You're one to talk about large head dresses; you have the Councilors as the field officers, and their helmets are by far the largest. Besides, the General's headdress wouldn't cause anywhere near as much of a strain: It is much smaller and thinner than the Councilor's. Just look: Halopedian.com

Anyways, the Covenant hardly give a damn about common, militaristic sense. They place appearance above function! You say how a large headdress begs for a sniper shot, what about their bright red and blue vehicles? Why do they put such effort into making everything curvy, from infantry weapons to starships, where the only use is for aesthetics? I mean, look at their carriers: The hooked prow would only impede the launching of vehicles in the primary bay.

I'm sorry, but Gold and Red stick out like a sore thumb to begin with.

Besides, it is basically Covenant battle doctrine to have the commanders readily visible to both enemies and allies.

Since you are upgrading the Elite models, I was wondering if you are going to change the Spec Ops Elites armor?

I mean...like Commando?

So, these are Anti-Vehicle?
If so, than the tactic should be the swarming.

The ones featured onboard ships only ways around 600 tons with a diameter of around 45 feet. Eh, it won't be anywhere near as catastrophic as he said.

This is fairly average when it comes to meteorites, albeit more dense.

Are you using Halopedian or Halo Nation?

Halopedian is the true Halopedia, as most of the members left Halo Nation after a disagreement between them and Wikia. Halo Nation is just a shell of its former self.

While it is true that it can take a beating, it is reasonable to assume that it has about the same amount of health that Halo 3's incarnation has.

Halo 2's Scarab being invincible is not truly canon.

It was more or less moving scenery - a part of the environment. It lacked an AI, following a scripted path. Its beam only firing at scripted targets.

The Focus Rifle actually would be the better Anti-materiel rifle.

The plasma that it shoots would turn the hatch of a Scorpion Tank into molten slag, which would then pour on top of the operator.
