You never know :) although we still chat together, our mod team is busy with real life and we havent done anything for some years!

Personally i would love to and am avidly playing x4 right now. We shall see!

Not really an option to run this side by side with another mod that edits ships. The issue is that most likely similar game ids have been used and would overwrite each other. The mod wasn't really made to wok in conjunction with other ship packs.
You could do it yourself, but it would require using the x3editor2 and manually copy in each star was ship into the bsg mod or vice versa!

There was definite a mention of this somewhere, maybe I got mixed up with all the fan fiction out there haha read way to much of it.
Indeed the admirality did believe a war was inevitable.

Hi Dracomarine, Cheers for the response, a critical review is the best kind of review :)

Since myself, jcc and max took over this mod from Killerog (the daddy of this mod) all those years ago, many changes have been made. Indeed balancing needs a rework. Keep in mind the game has changed itself in many ways due to updates and i think we were more concentrated on adding further missions and making the cosmetic or as you call them technical additions/replacements.

We had planned on a new mod (Terra Incognita) that would be built up from scratch, and worked on this for a couple of years. A huge amount of data has been collected and many new models and scripts are ready. Unfortunately due to the rumour (now true) of an x4 we decided not to proceed with a release of any kind as we found this to be a waste of time. If x4 turns out to be as modable and hopefully closer to the x3 series of games, we will revisit the possibility of another mod.

Until then, i will have a chat internally and see if we can put in some time to address your concerns, but i certainly wont promise anything.

Looks like a fantastic mod :) however your description if your going with the canon story line isn't quite right.
The colonies were not prepared, the administration had reduced the amount of prepared war ships significantly which is one of the reasons why they had no chance against the Cylon assault. The virus naturally didn't help but numbers and the Colonial significant battle experience would have most likely have been enough had they been prepared. (most of the Cylon vessels had not yet been in a war, so had no battle experience)

Any how, awesome mod, great work and glad to see more BSG mods resurfacing.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Sounds like the mod has been installed incorrectly. The mammoth and the bunch of numbers are a good sign that something has not been installed as it should have been.

Please read through the installation instructions again.

Hello Game-Stalkers. Great to see you enjoying our mod, and to see you write such a detailed and well thought out comment. We always appreciate and take the time to listen and reply to our community.

There is not much more i cant tell you, that Max has not already stated, however to affirm his statement concerning the 'difficulty in reaching the captain rank' i will comment. As stated, the idea was more of a 'its relatively easy to get to this rank so lets use it as a trigger'. Although it is a bit of a 'dirty' way of doing things, at the time it was a simple way of triggering an event. Due to the nature of X3 modding we do have game constrains we have to work with, however this is of course no reason why we couldn't have thought of a more 'imaginative' way to proceed. However this mod was never supposed to be anything more than a short story line plus the bsg ships and you will find that these 'annoyances' will not be present in Terra Incognita.

Apart from the game engine, you will not find any of the x3 vanilla content in the total conversion. As the idea is to create an immersive experience, we will be targeting issues such as how missions are given. Many of the 'scripts' you come across will be vocalised as well as presented in a 'missions briefing report' format.
