I don't get and don't think the Combine soldiers should be your enemy at all. The Combine on the beach attacked me as well. I don't think it's good design to call one Combine squad a "containment unit" as your foe and then call later ones your allies (which still attacked me). It's very jarring and doesn't make much sense to me, maybe if there was more dialogue explaining the situation or they were somehow marked different so that they were a threat to you. Even the turrets attacked me which doesn't make much sense either. Also this mod is very similar both in plot and visuals to Entropy: Zero.

This is some great news, I hope the project gets done eventually.
