Well, I needed to give it ago some time. UV mapping is still fairly confusing to me- I understand how it works, what is is, and how to apply them... it's creating the actual texture to fit the exact model that really confuses me.
I created this by mapping sides onto an actual photo of a helicopter. Yes, this is a rotor-less helicopter for Apocalyptic- it's meant to be a futuristic design, a little out of proportion, but Apocalyptic has a unrealistic style anyway.
