haha yes it is like that. You'll find Hidden's give the lowest EXP in the Abyss and also some enemies in Valley of Despair give very little EXP as well. Don't know why :)

Okay. I don't understand how I can look through boss drops without killing them. I have to clear all monsters on each floor before moving on anyway so I have to kill them regardless.
I noticed the price is very expensive now to restock items. Will there be a chance to have better items restocked to compensate or more gold dropped from monsters/chests?
Playing on Ironman as always and gold runs out quickly when trying to restock for good items at the start of each difficulty.
Tried out speed run mode. The 300% exp and 200% magic find is neat.
Played through all the way to Uber Diablo on Doom with Shugoki level 48 but messed up as I was playing over 13 hours and got tired.

Strange concept :)
I guess they were civilians before changing into a werewolf and then became undead.
How come there are still Hidden's giving 2 xp per kill in the Abyss (and sometimes in hell on floor 15-16) lol.
Also Undead Werewolf's in Cathedral/Catacombs shows the warrior death animation upon killing.
The FPS was 600 I think so the game slowed down when enemies die. I changed it to 1000 and now it's fine.
How's your grinding?
You won't need to farm as long as you have 4-5 pieces of equipment that give exp % + level 10 swift learner. You'll also have to do all quests that are accessed from dungeons and not from town (these quests are sometimes difficult) as these areas provide good exp and items.
Unless of course you prefer to do spectral elixir quest 50 times lol.
Just tried out Speedrun and wow. Never have I ever leveled up so quickly before at the beginning! I found when some enemies die it glitches by slowing down for a second. It becomes noticeable when killing many mobs with 1-2 hits.
Don't know if this is the same in other modes.
What is a good resolution to play on?
I use 1280x720 but I can only see half of the text in the top right.
Can't see the cooldown timers or how many monsters are in battle.
You can set in the config RandomizeSPQuests to off. This way you get all quests in single player.
Yeah both fire and lightning walls are needed from mid purgatory onwards.
No idea how my Thraex made it all the way to floor 23 on Purgatory without walls lol.
Although some enemies on Doom difficulty have both fire and lightning immune so you'll need to plan accordingly :)
Did you put points into Overdraw?
Archer classes are all glass cannons and need golem from late horror difficulty onwards.
Swift learner 10 and Educated 5 is a must for all classes.
Unless of course you want to farm Spectral Elixir quest 200 times lol.
So much blood in the brutal doom mods lol.
I do like the high noon version. Great music and map layout.
The alien one looks good. Has the suspense but the sound of the radio must get annoying after a while lol
I watched some speed runs of doom. Looks ridiculous haha.
Yes it is very painful and dangerous haha. Just finished caves with my Guardian and almost died twice.
Once on floor 9 with familiar boss shooting firebolts and invisble demon boss at the same time.
Then floor 12 with cold and lightning projectiles at the same time lol.
Doom the original?
I remember playing Doom on this server called skulltag 10 years ago and that was fun.
What d1 mod are you playing at the moment?
Ahh I used to play D2 vanilla a long time ago online.
D3 I haven't played and people say it's not good and doesn't have the experience like it has with older games.
My berseker just died on floor 16 purgatory. I find he has a big monster activation radius and also doesn't do well vs arrows as you mentioned. Also his DFE isn't very high so needs decent armor class and melee damage resistance. Apart from that he is decent with fast attacks.
Executioner used to be my favourite because of the high hp and regen but he has very low armor and can't tank 3 enemies at once which is a problem after horror mode lol.
I'm still playing TH2 and plan to finish this on Doom in ironman before moving on haha.
It is a good experience but also stressful!
I mostly play ironman. I tried out many perk builds and figured it is mostly toughness, swift learner, and educated.
What is your experience?
No problem. Just wondering as I'm still learning this game.
Wow how come the fury cooldown went from 90 seconds to 3 minutes...
A lot of classes are weak without fury and having to wait 3 minutes(or 90 seconds with a ring)before engaging again in Purgatory and Doom will be tedious.
At this rate there will be a cooldown for healing spell and probably firewall and lightning wall spells...
Not sure what the majority of players think of this system right now but this is terrible for people that play Ironman mode.
It used to but now it is changed although it doesn't stat in the readme file.
Feels like it reduces damage from enemies but not sure by how much.
Does the reflect spell reduce damage taken from enemies as well as reflect 400% of the damage back?
If I want to change settings in the config.ini file, do I save and replace file?
I tried this and it says access denied. Also tried to rename it but doesn't let me.
Nevermind, I sorted it out.
oh I see. It says 10% so I thought it would add 10% on top of whatever ring or weapon you have.
Thanks
This life leech perk - if I equip a ring with 1% life steal and have 1 point in life leech perk (10%), does that mean I steal 11% life per hit? Can't be right as it sounds too good to be true lol.
Better to do Overdraw till about 10-12 points before putting points into % damage to demons and undead(sorry can't remember name of perk).
Overall damage to enemies is better than higher damage to a certain kind early game.
haha. You need holy arrows to damage them - same with melee classes that are weaker like Rogue/Assassin etc.
If you have Overdraw at a decent level then your arrows should hurt them.
Ah okay but I thought DFE is less damage taken from enemies.
Ironclad perk gives DFE bonus.
So would Melee damage resistance and DFE work together?
I have a question - What is the difference between Armor Class and Melee damage resistance?
Does Armor Class prevent being hit from melee and arrow attacks and Melee damage resistance is melee only?
In the perks there is Dodger that increases armor and Toughness that increases melee damage resistance. Which one should you put points in?
Oh Iron Maiden is easy. Just she struggles against range enemies and elemental attacks. What class do you use?
I see when you're coming from but your advice is geared towards non Ironman mode.
Without Swift Learner the character becomes too low level and dies easily.
Remember you can't grind areas over and over again like you can on Normal.
