Great mod, as always :-) Thank-you!

Curious, there was a map that was both a 4 player and 8 player map that appears to be missing now. I recall the 4 player map had all players in a horizontal line, so if it was a 2v2 game the player on the far right could build up behind their ally and vice versa on the left of the map. I forget it's name, but recall the description talking about a landscape that Dwarves and Orcs fought in. Any reason why it was removed?

The goblins are in development at the monment Juancalios, and will be available with the next major update of the mod 4.5.

No time is given to when 4.5 will be released, so we must be patient. The edain team are always working hard, and like to keep us in the loop of what they are doing, and to get ideas from us - the fans.

Glad you are enjoying the mod, it truly is an amazing experience!

Sounds great Edain team! As usual :-)

I must say I am disappointed that the Balrog is not a recruitable hero, especially considering Moria is the central/main base of the goblin faction. I would have expected the Balrog to be the central, power hero (like Gandalf, Galadriel, Saruman etc) and perhaps have a debuffing aura, like Galadriel does when she takes the ring - reducing the damage and armour of all near by units, even your own. I thought this would show that he is not the leader of the goblins, just co exists with them.

Regarding Smaug and his ring form, I wonder if an ability that allowed Smaug to summon his treasure trove as a building that could be destroyed. The building could act similarly to Isengard's resource outpost building, generating a large amount of resources for the goblins. Although Smaug is a very destructive, dangerous foe, he was still a very greedy dragon. I do not think that his current abilities, all having offensive focus particularly capture his greed.

Anyway, my 2 cents. :-)

I love that revealing the whole map was given to Lothlorien instead of Rivendell. Although I liked the concept of Rivendell being a library, and therefore having great knowledge of the World - allowing Lothlorien to see everything makes perfect sense, as with Galadriel and her mirror, she could see everything. See into the mind of Sauron, and see his plans.

Sounds like fantastic changes! I am always so impressed by the Edain teams ideas and in-depth view to truly immerse us in Middle Earth. The current scouts are quite lack luster, and I personally just upgrade to use other Uruks instead. I am really glad to see this change, and really excited to use the new scouts! I feel like I will always have my 4 scout battalions in update 4.5 :-)

Hi Edain,
Fantastic mod, thank-you so much for all the time you put into, to bring the community the experience of Middle-Earth. You are certainly greatly appreciated :-)

You asked for suggestions for Dain's ring mode, but I personally feel that you have already captured it. Currently when Dain has the ring, he focuses more on defence by strengthening nearby buildings. I personally like this as I feel it captures his defence against the Easterling army during the War of the Ring.

I am sure whatever the team comes up with will be accurate & on point, as everything else you have done thus far feels like Tolkien's world.
