Some people have had problems with the FileShack mirror getting rid of the .exe part of the filename. Try to add it to the file and start it.

Let me guess, you downloaded Decadence from Fileshack? :) I talked to a guy last night that had the same problem and all you need to do is add .exe in the end of the filename (if you turned on "show file extensions" in windows). Seems like the .exe get deleted when you download it from them, no idea why though...

I'm currently running 6 servers on my machine. I can see around 20 servers running. We had over 30 servers running yesterday. You server browser might be acting up?

A server for Decadence is not very resource heavy (since it's only 2vs2!), so you can host your own server and play with some mates if you have a decent machine and connection (and know how to open of the required ports on your router). I run 6 servers and seeding the torrent all at the same time from my main computer :)

Seems like there's a delay with ModDB auth'ing the files and the files actually going up on their mirrors, no worries though! Mirrors here (FilePlanet and Torrent so far): Decadencemod.com

The character you pick got his or her own weapon, so if you want to change weapon, change character.

Each character got their own weapon, but there are two different classes of weapons. One heavy and one light, meaning that the big dude and dudette (Echo and Yelena) have the same stats and vice versa.

I told Peter Moore about it (seeing as he's the Project Manager), but he's not sure yet. He feels kinda stupid for getting those other ones.

Who knows what the future will bring :)

We will supply loads of download locations on the 28:th so if you don't have a FilePlanet account (or just don't want to use FP) you don't have to.

It wasnt an offer we took easily, let me say that. Why do you think we have been keeping a lid on it for so long? The deal was done way back :)

You can bet your butt it is! You must make yourself known around town! Trivia: There's only one Decadence shirt in existence outside of the Decadence team and it belongs to a world famous film/game critic, musician and TV profile. Who is it? I won't tell you... but I'm sure we'll upload pictures of it some day :P

On a more serious note: A point of criticism was the heavy weapons secondary. It works by loading up a bunch of bullets (holding the right mouse button, you will actually see the rev-meter on the Harley red-line along with the sound of the engine) and then unleashing them into your enemy with a very high rate of fire, but with some serious recoil. People thought it wasnt so useful (you need to sneak up on your enemy), so I got some plans on making it better. I'll test it tomorrow :)

More positive notes were the fact that they enjoyed playing as both characters and the balancing of the two classes was fine. The game were also going back and forth on the different arenas, just like we wanted it to do. So it's really a tug-of-war :)

This is now fixed, they got replaced by a model so they look much better now :) Thanks for the comments!

We do not use the OB engine. There's a bit of a problem with porting to the OB engine because we use a lot of custom shaders.

We don't have motion blur, we do however have a radial blur when you're damaged (along with some other effects).
