Well I have been working on Violent Sol Worlds physics for some time now. I have managed to kill most of the bugs, but now I am into efficiency. For some reason it seems that physics is taking the fps down way too much. Even when everything is at rest.
Tracking down the areas that are causing the large processing lags will be fun. I kinda have become best friends with the profiler in Visual Studio. It does a fine job of getting you the understanding of what code runs far too often and maybe is too slow.
My goal is to get us back to 300 + fps again then I think we will launch the build .11 process to get it out ot our alpha testers.
Come check out the game to see what I'm actually working on.
