You you give me some information like:
- your OS
- your display language
- The exact message you have in the error

The I would like you update this file:
C:\Users\{YourUserName}\Documents\My Games\Civilization IV Colonization\CivilizationIV.ini

LoggingEnabled = 1
MessageLog = 1

Those two values may be set to 0.
Launch the mod.
Then copy all files of this folder and send it to me.
- All the files inside C:\Users\{YourUserName}\Documents\My Games\Civilization IV Colonization\Logs

It is a lot of things, but I need information to fix your issue.

I have just bought the game on Steam (20 €) in order to reproduce your issue. I don't have the problem. Follow all instructions I have added in this post. Forums.civfanatics.com and you will be able to play without any issue.

I never faced your issue before. That's strange...
However, I never tried the steam version. It is may be related.
If by chance, you have the ISO file of colonization, you could install it, the install the official patch and finally install DoaNE to see if it is working.

Your experience of this mod is really weird. Since a long time, we don't buy goods to Natives. It is always a trade. I have written a guide that explains how to start with DoaNE in (2016) and it explains how works the trade with natives.

I am always glad to see comments like yours. It is really motivating to see players keep playing to this mod and like it.
For your information, I am currently working on the economic aspect in Europe. It will make the game really interesting for this part.
Europe will have needs and when players will sell ressources in Europe. it will have impacts for the other europeans. :)

I will try to reproduce the issue and fix it. I could be faster if you can give me your save just before it crash.

The black flag is unused for the version. Some versions ago it was use to transform our naval escort to privateer. But we have disabled this feature.

Thank you @Pearson.de.Saap, I will continue to develop on DoaNE. I am just working on a different project right now but be sure I will continue to work on this mod.
It is always pleasant to see comments like yours. We have tried with Dazio to make this mod more mature and realistic.
I had a look on Domestic Market, it is interesting, iI will be able to do the changes for the next release. It should not be so complicated to do :)

Your problem is easy to solve, you should not have the folder DoaNe_v5.10 inside the DoaNe_v5.10 folder.
Just copy all files of the child folder into the parent one. The delete the child one.
It will work fine (Same for the other mods)
For the next releases, I will create an executable file, that will do the installation automatically. Like that, no one will be annoyed by this kind of issue anymore.

In the next version, it will be easier to see what is the city that does not fit accpetance criteria. I should release the 5.00 in january.
