It's intended for Russian faction of Rise of the Reds (Hanpatch); but how it's gonna be used is yet to be decided.

I'd take this over Grizzly tbh. Fits that unit's role much better than an APC

yeah it looks like a much more better armed Grizzly (or a much more powerful Mauler/BMP minus the transport capability and waterborne, probably). IRL-wise its true, since the concept of Grizzly (or BTR-T) and Terminator rooted from the same cause of "lacking specialized vehicle for urban warfare" and experience of urban warfare itself, and also both are conversion of existing tank/vehicle

judging from the logo on the front I think it'll be limited/obtainable by GP only, it has not been decided yet by MP, but seems fit better as GP unlock-aircraft drop only (like the VDV Paradrop) since it would overlap with Grizzly in term of identical usage if it is buildable in the first place from the war factory (except if Terminator does not have the same "Bullet Resistance" of Grizzly, but I do not believe Terminator will not having Bullet Resistance since it have tank armor too just like Grizzly)

but anyway, the model looks cool despite a bit weird (since it use T-14 turret, looks goofy but ok) but I am not surprised or feeling "new" to this idea so it looks cool

is this based on the supposed BMPT version based on the T-14 Armata?

Yes it is, though mostly fictional. Only the turret is based on the T-14 Armata.

Kinda looks strange, dunno, maybe barrels too long or turret not so flat/wide.. Looks more like strange tank compared to photos of "BMPT" i saw.

yeah because it use T-14 turret rather than the actual turret that BMPT use (which use an unmanned turret), but i dont mind either it looks great despite looking strange

Description

During the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s and the First Chechen War in the mid 1990s, Russian forces suffered terrible losses at the hands of a technologically inferior foe who attacked armoured columns from elevated positions. In an attempt to remedy this problem, anti-aircraft guns and IFVs, whose autocannons could aim to a higher elevation, were used for short range fire support, although their weak armour would still prove inadequate during up-close encounters. Thus, military engineers combined the manoeuvrability and responsiveness of an autocannon with the armoured protection of a tank chassis, producing the BMPT heavy fire support vehicle whose latest iteration has been recently acquired by the Russian Airborne Troops. The Terminator 4 offers enhanced 360 degree protection against cannon fire and infantry anti-tank weapons for its crew of three. Its armament consists of an intimidating twin 57mm autocannon, capable of destroying enemy personnel, lightly armoured vehicles and even flying targets in rapid succession. Heavier targets, such as tanks and buildings, can be engaged at a longer distance using the latest version of the Ataka guided missile. Although few in number due to its high production and supply cost, the Terminator 4 has proven its effectiveness in Russian service against GLA insurgents in Africa and has since also been purchased by Russian clients such as Egypt, Serbia and India.
