The Dark Knight Rises

Here is a short blog. I finally got a chance to see The Dark Knight Rises. It was a very good movie.
Story wise I'd say it's the best of the trilogy though to me it felt like it could have expanded more on... well everything, just a little bit.
To save you a long read of all complicated reasons why I though it should have more, I'll just say that even with it being almost three hours long, it still could have been longer.

It had good actors, even Anne Hathaway who I thought was a somewhat odd choice for the Catwoman.
An obvious thing one has to point out about the actors has to be that a lot of the leads starred all in another movie by Christopher Nolan; Inception.

Most people will most likely complain about it not having a whole lot of Batman in it. All I can say to those people is... hmm, grow up? No, that'd be mean. Still, this is a great trilogy that took the original idea of Batman and added as much to it as it possibly could.

But yeah, it was good, it was great, it'll change your life and all that... so if you haven't already, go and watch it!

Have a nice day!

I loved the movie as a whole, but there were things I thought could have used expanding as well. Also Bruce Wayne's complete negligence was almost unrealistic, even though I understand Nolan's reasoning behind it. I can understand Batman disappearing, but if anything, Bruce Wayne should have become more of a public figure, yet he didn't (yeah, they were going off the comic books, I know :P). Just my opinion though. Overall I thought it was great.

Nice, you did get to see it too eh. Well I wouldn't have wanted it to be any longer, our cinema didn't make any break so we sat there the full 3 hours watching it, after some time I just wanted it to end tough I couldn't really get enough. I thought it was a crazy movie, and good omg good like the full trilogy.

The story is so full with twists and that "parts coming together". Like the autopilot and the ending in the restaurant.

Then there was Bane, and well I found him just a typical villain. Strong dude that breaks stuff. He waws by far not as interesting as the Joker was but hey that was a villain of a century so heh kinda hard to reach.

What I don't like at all is that they ended with the trilogy and want to make new batman movies in some years like it has been done with spiderman. They could just proceed, the last movie was a perfect introduction for Robin and Batman is still among the living why wouldn't he come back to save Robin in a fourth or fifth movie... No lets just film batman all over again but eh who cares gonna get that trillogy on Blu ray discs and watch it when I want to see something epic xD.

I hope you're digging the soundtrack too.

Impressive, for once someone writes a comment longer than my blog! =D

And yeah. The movie went through many stages and twists. Thing was there were so many of them, and many that they could have expanded on. Therefore my reason for thinking it could have been longer.

Bane wasn't the joker no, though I thought he was a very interesting character nonetheless.

And what do you mean by them making more Batman movies? I thought Nolan stated that this would be the last Batman movie he would make.
Sure the ending did leave room for possible sequels but that's no guarantee that they will actually make one. Making sequels for money is something Hollywood is good at and yet they so often fail, nowadays more so than ever.

Hopefully they will learn and leave this series alone.
If they choose to make another Batman movie with a different director and a different style, well then that's their choice.

Nolan will most likely just continue making more awesome movies like Inception. =)

There are actually rumors (and an IMDB page!) of another Batman reboot for somewhere around 2015 @_@

Oh dear... Well I suppose that by the end of the century, there will be 3 or 4 very different variations of the average Batman fan.

I wonder who would win if you took the near infinite variations of Batman and put them in a cage fight to the mortal end. Just a random thought.

Maybe Christian Bale would leave him alone because he wears tights...

Thats what I meant with new Batman movies. This cast is over with Batman if not some miracle appears. Some new Batman movies are going to come somewhen, heard about 2015 too, just as we have now with Spiderman Begins or whatever that is called.
