well, from what I got and remember (check 10-20 pages away if u want the exact answer) :

at first, dezodor wanted to recreate an empty feeling in the zone and to reduce the total crowd to about 200 stalkers
but, after some testing, he realized that in term of gameplay it ... sucked and that it was better to put more than those 200 stalkers in the zone.
At the end, the game will be less crowded than SOC but not by much ...

I completely agree with Generous,

Some random stealing during sleep would be an amazing feature, really.
Of course, it has to happen with a low probability.

Some are claiming it would be unfair ... why ? Losing 1 weapon considering you can plenty everywhere ? Come on !

Also, this could happen in every area. You never know if someone is coming to robb you and then quickly disappear.

Of course, we can also imagine a quest about finding back ur weapon ... you would have a limited amount of time to manually scan all the inventory of all the NPC in the area (the cordon for example) to find back "your rifle" ... if you find it it is up to you to convince the NPC to give it back to you putting more or less pressure (= gauss gun locked on the head) on him ;)

but it was a pure guess to "break" people hope about an early release.
by saying june 2011, I just wanted to say : "wait and trust LA team"

perhaps it will be released in 2012 you know !

this is why the mod developpement is quite long compared to others STALKER mod
it is because there will be a new story, with new main quest and NPC

ah !

so the new surprise you decided to include in LA is not a new map ;)

why not help the mod then ?

I would say : june 2011, perhaps end of 2011 if there are some unexpected problem.

You play, you explore but you hardly "progress" and "discover" new things. Most of the time you quickly have everything you want and you know what to expect.

Another point is that most of the building section and the underground section are painfully "empty". In term of item (sure, you get documments or quest items but outside this ...), or in term of enemies (putting 1 controller as a boss at the end of a section is just not enought).

Sure, in a way, those "lacks" participate to create an wierd atmosphere. But I m pretty there is a way to put more "achievement" inside the game without killing the atmosphere.

This is a good idea.
I also think giving us "weaker" weapon would be enought to make the beginning more interesting/realtstic.

There are a lot of weapon in stalker but u dont really use them all becuse you quickly get the average/high level weapon and drop the low level weapon (pistol/wood weapon).

I always thought it was a missed opportunity for the game pacing/progession.

Some months ago, you saied that we may see a LA release this summer and, obviously, this is not the case right now.

From what you know, are you abe to tell us if LA will come in "late" summer ? or if LA will be released when it is done meaning you dont want to put new deadline considering the work that has still to be done ?

I m not pushing you. I dont want a deadline. I just want to know if the mod will be released before the summer end or if the mod will be released later.

In a way, not that much was shown but this is not important : I like the idea of holding back as much as possible until the release
I just loved the weather cycle : so atmospheric ...
