An avid gamer and game balance tinkerer. I got into games with PC 90's classics such as 'The curse of Monkey Island', 'Police Quest 2' and 'Red Alert 96' and slowly graduated to next gen and console games during the mainstream boom in the 2000's. It was not until 'C&C Generals' and the 'Battle for Middle Earth' with their fascinating BIG files that I realized games could be tweaked and changed to cheat, and more importantly alter the game to better suit one's preferences. By no means am I a experienced modder, however I do have a firm grasp of game mechanics and balancing. And I have played such a wide array of game genres (real and turn based strategy, FPS, RPGs, Simulations, Platformers) that understanding what keeps a player hooked, and what gives them a sense of satisfaction has become second nature. I spend a considerable amount of time editing games for my own amusement, and simply post mods from time to time in the spirit of sharing.

Far Cry 2, already the best in the series, is more replayable than ever.
Apart from a shorter intro segment (highly appreciated), this mod provides the closet experience to vanilla Far Cry 2 of the mods on offer at Moddb. It provides just enough well thought out touches that makes the experience that much more enjoyable (across all difficulty settings).
If you like first person shooters, do yourself a favor and give this mod a go.
