I've fixed the particles for the fire pit.
Update 0.4 is almost complete. This will include Escape Part 1 as well as some bug fixes and lighting tweaks in the earlier chambers. I'm still working on fixing the particles for the fire pit in the escape (I'm currently getting this error at the moment "C_OP_RenderSprites::RenderUnsorted: Attempting to use an unimplemented sprite renderer for system "fire_large_02_warp"!"). Once this is fixed update 0.4 should be pretty much ready for release.
I've updated the screenshots for Escape Part 1 again. This should be pretty close to final (although there are still a few lighting tweaks to be made) but let me know your thoughts. I do apologize for the lack of updates on the escape but I'll have plenty of time from now till the end of summer to finish this mod.
I'm still working on it btw. I'm really sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been extremely busy with college. I'll try to provide more updates and screenshots whenever I can.
Quick update on Test Chamber 19 + escape part 1; its getting real close. Right now, I'm mostly working on lighting tweakes and level of detail enhancemnts. I don't know exacly when it will be ready but I'll give a date once I'm finished everything level design. I'll probubly provide some more screenshots in the meantime.
I'm most likely gonna leave the test chamber 1 layout the same as it was in Portal 1.

No, I'm just currently unable to work on the mod since I don't have my computer with me. I should be able to work on it again by early september. The first part of the escape is very close to completion so it won't take long to finish once I'm able to.
I updated the screenshots for Test Chamber 19 and part of the escape. Sorry for the lack of screenshots/updates; I'm graduating soon so I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on the mod but I'll probably be able to get the first part of the escape done during the summer.
I'm making a lot of progress with the first part of the escape (about halfway there). I'll start to post screenshots soon as the ones I've already posted of the first part of the escape are quite outdated. Escape parts 2-4 are going to take me a lot more time tho.
no, but the Alive and Kicking mod was actually the mod that inspired me to make Portal Remastered. When I started working on Portal Remastered (April 2020), the last time they posted any screenshots were in 2015 so I assumed the mod was dead.
The first part of the escape sequence is taking a while to finish but I still think I might be able to finish it by the end of march or early April
The next major update will include Test Chamber 19 and the first part of the escape sequence. I want to try to get it out sometime this month or next month.
It's been about a month since the last update. The next update (V0.3) will be pretty major and is currently taking a long time to finish (especially Test chamber 15). I plan to get this update out hopefully sometime this month.

Same for me. It also doesn't show in the campaign for me either so I assumed it had something to do with my installation of portal 2. What was even weirder was that after deleting and reinstalling portal 2 the problem persisted, even after verifying the integrity of the game files.
Edit: after playing around with the view model offset command just now, I was able to get the portal gun visible (had to set both the y-axis and the x-axis back to zero).
Test Chamber 18 is almost done. Only a few minor lighting tweaks to go; after that, the level should be ready for release in the next update. I'll try to get V0.2 out in a couple of days.
Copy the "portal remastered" folder from inside the zip to your "sourcemods" folder located by default in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\" .If you don't have a "sourcemods" folder, you can create one in the "steamapps" folder. Make sure you have portal 2 installed. It should show up in your steam library and if it doesn't, restart steam.
I'm now currently working on test chamber 18. So far, the level opens and runs fine but the lighting is still way off. I'm planning on releasing this level in the next update which should be ready in a couple weeks.
I'm pretty sure the two versions would list as separate games
Updated lighting a little bit
V0.1.1 is almost done. I was playing around with the lighting and textures in Testchamber 17 so let me know what you think. I also fixed the elevator not going up when opening a level from the main menu and the missing orb textures. The game should now also quit to the main menu after Testchamber 17 (instead of saying "end of playtest").
Currently working on v0.1.1. This should fix the elevator issue along with the missing orb textures. It will also improve the lighting in some test chambers. The update should be done by next week.
I've personally had that issue with test chamber 6. The orb textures would only show up sometimes. Even though I thought I fixed it I guess the bug is still roaming around. I also had issues with the elevators not going up however this was a very rare occurrence for me. I'm not exactly sure what is going on with those elevators but I'm definitely going to look into it.
open steam and the mod should be in your library. Also if the mod is not showing up in your library then exit stem by clicking "steam" in the top left corer then "exit"
