I had the same problem, it's because you only downloaded the 8.01 patch and not the full 8.0 download

Ah thanks that was the problem, however i have installed the 8.0 version first and after that the patch but now it still keeps crashing. It is not because of the files because i don't get the 'unable to locate the file' warning, do you have a solution for this?

hello everyone, i got a problem with the darthmod.
When i close the launcher there is a window coming up which says the following: 'unable to locate the file E:\games\steamapps\common\Empire Total War\data\DME\Packs\aum_of. Check if you filled in the right name and try again.' I relaunched the mod menu and pressed start and i started up Empire Total war. I then get a black screen for about 2 seconds and then i get Empire Total War has stopped working. I figured that it maybe has something to do with the location of empire total war because i got all my steam games on a separate disc. I hope anyone has a fix for this. I already tried reinstalling Empire and the mod. (english is not my main language so sorry for any faults) *edit: I just saw that its not only the aum.of file that is missing but some other files as well.
