This is one of those mods that is so bad it's good. Seriously, I absolutely love the atmosphere of the mod, it is unique, the perfect mod for fans of liminal Source horror and fans of old Source mods.

The guy just took screenshots of addons in Gmod and called it a mod. It's funny that for his "release" he uploaded an archive... with the source code of Nightmare House 2. In fact, there are a lot of similar "mods" on Moddb, it's just that Moddb moderation doesn't pay attention to them.

I've been waiting for this mod for quite a long time, since it was announced back in 19-20. My main hope for the mod was customization, which could become closer to Smod on YouTube, since many Smod recreations on Source 2013 died or were long-term construction projects that left behind raw pieces of code. In the case of the OC, there was hope for a release... but it was a disaster for me. There were a huge number of bugs in the mod, and it would be okay if these bugs were only in the features of the mod, but they also affected the passage of the original HL2 campaigns... Of course, on the one hand, I expected this, since the authority of the developer Arctic Adventures spoke for itself , but there was hope for its “fix.” Another factor was the expectations from the mod, I expected to see a real replacement for Smod, but I received only a small part of functionality similar to Smod. The authors of the mod were able to create their own weapon_custom, but it was not possible to change the NPC model as in Smod, replace entities as in Smod, etc. In any case, I was disappointed in this. But then the situation began to change due to subsequent updates that corrected Overcharged bugs. At the moment, the OC has turned out to be a playable mod, with flexible (not like in Smod) customization, playable from beginning to end and, most importantly, it is developing. I want to give the OC a chance and hope it doesn't disappoint again in a future release on Steam.

I am writing this review to draw attention to the attempt to blatantly give high ratings to mods created by "Ancient Freeman Media".
A person under the nickname CeDean registered his account on November 4, and gave the “mods” of this “team” a rating of 10/10.
If such mods receive a rating of 10/10, then I am afraid for the future fate of Moddb.

This is some kind of half-empty trash, there is no gameplay in the mod (except for the tutorial), but there are absolutely terrible maps, in which, again, there is NOTHING. A very pathetic attempt to imitate Cry of Fear.
